Tom Jones in hospital with bacterial infection, cancels show
Tom Jones has been hospitalized with a bacterial infection, prompting the singer to cancel a show scheduled for Thursday at the Chester Racecourse in Chester, England.

The concert is being rescheduled for Aug. 12 and those who can't make the new date will be offered refunds at their point of purchase.

"Sir Tom Jones has a bacterial infection for which he is being treated in hospital. The condition is being well managed and we are hoping for a speedy recovery," a statement released on Jones' Twitter account said.

"He is extremely sorry and disappointed not to be able to perform tonight, and sincerely apologizes for inconveniences caused to the audience and all those who are involved with the event," it continued.

The show at the Chester Racecourse was the second show Jones canceled over the illness. He was also supposed to perform at Stansted Park in Chichester, England, on Wednesday.

Jones also posted a statement on his Twitter account, where he further apologized for the cancellations.

"I am so sorry for canceling last nights show in Chichester, it's the worse feeling having to let down everyone who was coming as well as everyone who is involved with the event. I know many of you travel considerable distances and make plans with friends and family that take a lot of effort, and so it is so disappointing when things don't go right," Jones said.

"A sincere thank you for your support and understanding," he concluded.

'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' moves to July 2019
Sony has moved up the release date of director Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt to July 26, 2019.

The film, set in Los Angeles during the summer of 1969 when the Manson Family murders took place, was originally going to be released on the 50th anniversary of the massacre on Aug. 9, 2019.

The release date wasn't changed because of the anniversary, but to allow the film to have more playtime during the summer, Billboard reported, citing studio insiders.

DiCaprio will be featured in the film as fading television star Rick Dalton with Pitt as his stunt double Cliff Booth. DiCaprio shared an on-set photo of himself with Pitt in June.

DiCaprio and Pitt will be joined by Margot Robbie as actress Sharon Tate who was murdered by the Manson Family, Burt Reynolds, Dakota Fanning as Manson Family associate Lynette 'Squeaky' Fromme, Al Pacino, Damian Lewis as actor Steve McQueen, Emile Hirsch, Timothy Olyphant, James Marsden and Tim Roth.

Sony also announced released dates for Zombieland 2 which will arrive on Oct. 11, 2019, Little Women set for Dec. 25, 2019 and Bloodshot set for Feb. 21, 2020. Slender Man was moved from Aug. 24 to Aug. 10 and Searching was moved from Aug. 3 to Aug. 24.

'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' to be adapted as stage musical
Popular film The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants will be adapted as a stage musical.

The Hollywood Reporter said Tuesday that a stage production of the 2005 movie starring Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrera, Blake Lively and Alexis Bledel is being developed.

Blue Spruce Productions has acquired the live theatrical rights from Alcon Entertainment and Alloy Entertainment, which co-produced the big-screen film. Tony Award-winning producer Scott Delman is leading the project.

Alcon Entertainment co-founders Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson and Alloy Entertainment president Les Morgenstein said their respective companies would maintain an option to invest in and co-produce the musical, according to Deadline.
