Hello Music lovers,

The 90s are typically known for the explosion of grunge, hip-hop, and boy bands. but a little band called the Squirrel Nut Zippers came along with not only a goofy name, but total throwback to the 30s. You'll hear elements of delta blues, gypsy folk and swing if you ever get a hold of one of their albums, but they are best remembered for the calypso-like swing ballad, Hell. Here's a video with 1929 black and white cartoon called The Skeleton Dance by Silly Symphony.

Oh and by the way, if you are wondering - Nut Zipper is the name of a type of moonshine in the south!

I still prefer the Kermit version, but this guy does a pretty good job too, along with Toby Huss from AMCs Halt and Catch Fire.
