Hello Music lovers,

I watched a heck of a film last weekend: Inside Llewyn Davis (pronounced lew-win). Despite a few Oscar nominations, its a relatively unknown one by the Coen Brothers. Its about a destructive folk musician who just cant seem to get anywhere despite obvious talent.

The soundtrack, much like the Coen's other movie O Brother Where Art Thou? is fantastic. Featuring well known folk and bluegrass musicians and produced by T Bone Burnett, the movie actually mixed and recorded most of the soundtrack live as they were shooting the movie.

The movie was intense to watch and the soundtrack kept me thinking about it for days after seeing it!

To start things off, the movie opens sweetly with Oscar Isaac singing this tune to set the stage for the rest of the movie. Its a true traditional folk ballad! Give this one a shot, then go out and rent the movie to see a good one.

Pleasant Watching,
