'Harry Brown' DVD

Michael Caine has played lovable elderly men in recent years,
but in the violent, gritty Harry Brown, he reverts to the
kind of character he portrayed in Get Carter (1971). Harry
Brown (Caine) lives in a crime-ridden South London neighbor-
hood where drug-addled young thugs are a continual menace,
and the police, led by a detective played by Emily Mortimer,
can't do much about it. Although Harry is a pensioner well
into his 70s, after his last remaining friend is killed, he
falls back on his training as a Royal Marine and reluctantly
transforms himself into a ferocious vigilante.

'Marmaduke' DVD

Based on the newspaper comic strip that has run for more than
five decades, this is a family comedy with talking animals.
The main character is a huge Great Dane named Marmaduke
(voice of Owen Wilson), who narrates the story. Marmaduke's
owners, a married couple with three kids and a talking
Russian Blue cat named Carlos (voice of George Lopez), relo-
cate from Kansas to Orange County, California. Marmaduke has
some social problems at an upscale dog park and has some
misadventures when he gets out of the yard. There's also a
segment involving doggie surfing.

'Why Did I Get Married Too?' DVD

Tyler Perry wrote and directed this sequel to his 2007 film
Why Did I Get Married? The sequel continues the marital
ups and downs of four upper-middle-class African-American
couples, and all the actors are back, including Janet
Jackson, Jill Scott and Perry himself (in a low-key perfor-
mance as one of the husbands). The four couples gather in the
Bahamas, and Sheila (Scott) comes with her new husband, but
her ex-husband shows up. Also, everyone is surprised when it
emerges that one of the couples is headed for divorce. Cicely
Tyson and Lou Gossett Jr. appear as an elderly married couple.
