Hello Music lovers,

Portuguese is the native language of both Brazil, and multi-talented Seu Jorge. You may recognize him from a few acting gigs, including the Wes Anderson film, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. In that film, he plays a crew mate to Bill Murray's character, who is always playing guitar.

I didn't notice when I first watched the movie in the theater, but every song he sings is actually an acoustic cover of a David Bowie song - in Portuguese. He's got a wonderful voice, and David Bowie himself said of the performance: "had Seu Jorge not recorded my songs in Portuguese I would never have heard this new level of beauty which he has imbued them with." So here's Life on Mars!

By the way, if anyone ever has any trouble watching this week's video, try refreshing the page a few times. It just might work.

Enjoy!

Pleasant Watching,
