Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith bury divorce rumors, again
Will Smith took to Facebook Monday to bury rumors of his and Jada Pinkett Smith's divorce once and for all.
The 46-year-old Suicide Squad actor and 43-year-old Magic Mike XXL actress married in 1997 and have weathered several false reports from gossip publications of their split.
"Under normal circumstances, I don't usually respond to foolishness. (Because it's contagious)," Smith wrote on his verified Facebook page. "But, so many people have extended me their 'deepest condolences' that I figured - 'What the hell... I can be foolish, too!'"
Without missing a beat, the former rapper continued to -- "in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness" -- proclaim that he and his wife are, in fact, not filing for divorce.
"I promise you all," he added, "if I ever decide to divorce my Queen - I SWEAR I'll tell you myself!"
Soon after the post, which received over 500,000 likes, Jada Pinkett Smith took to Twitter to support her husband. "My king has spoken," the mother of Willow Smith and Jaden Smith wrote.
The latest divorce rumors can be linked to reports claiming that the Smith's have been facing difficulties in their marriage for some time. According to an anonymous source, "it's only a matter of time until the couple announce that their 17-year marriage is officially over."
In June, Pinkett Smith reacted to previous rumors of divorce, denying their truthfulness and expressing her love for her family. "Will and I love each other so much," she said ahead of the Magic Mike XXL premier. "Our family and our relationship is so important."
"You would think that people would be rooting for you to stay together, not to break up," she said. "If people can go to sleep at night creating those stories, then hey, have it. Just so you know, we're not getting a divorce...again!"
Amy Schumer, cousin Sen. Chuck Schumer advocate tighter gun control laws
Amy Schumer took to a podium alongside her cousin, Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., Monday to push for tighter gun control laws.
The actress' first public comments on gun control occur just ten days after a gunman opened fire in a theater showing Schumer's Trainwreck, killing two and injuring eight.
"We're here to say enough if enough to mass shootings in our schools, our college campuses, our military bases and even our movie theaters," Schumer said. The 34-year-old comedian continued to explain how gun violence as a political issue became "extremely personal" to her when John Russel Houser -- whose name she refused to say -- attacked moviegoers in Lafayette, La., on July 23.
"Two lives were tragically lost...and I thought about these victims each day since the tragedy," Schumer said before asserting that Houser shouldn't have "put his hand on a gun in the first place" due to a considerable history of mental illness.
"Unless something is done and done soon, dangerous people will continue to get their hands on guns," Schumer added. "[Sen. Schumer's proposals] deserves unanimous support."
The actress and Inside Amy Schumer star explained her support of tighter background check policies that rewarded states with funding for sharing information and denied them funding when they refused to. CBS reports Sen. Schumer also proposed that a countrywide survey be completed by the Justice Department to assess each state's standards for involuntary commitment for those with mental illnesses.
The Schumers also advocated for full funding for mental health and substance abuse programs nationwide.
Congress has not acted considerably in terms of gun control laws, but Sen. Schumer believes his proposals -- which his cousin calls "sensible" -- will find support.
"There are so many killings, so many needless killings, that every day the movement grows," he said.

Zooey Deschanel gives birth to first child, a girl
Zooey Deschanel and husband Jacob Pechenik welcomed their first child together last week, a girl, the actress' rep said.
The New Girl star gave birth in late July in Austin, Texas, where Pechenik works as a movie producer, Page Six reported.
"I am thrilled to confirm that Zooey Deschanel and her husband, Jacob Pechenik, are new parents to a beautiful healthy baby girl," the rep said in a statement to Us Weekly.
Deschanel, 35, and Pechenik, 42, began dating last year after meeting on a movie project. The two announced their pregnancy in January and they secretly wed June 21 in Texas.
The couple had kept the baby's gender a secret throughout Deschanel's pregnancy.
Lady Gaga teases new album
Lady Gaga teased plans for her new album Monday on Instagram.
The 29-year-old singer shared a selfie on the photo sharing site with the simple caption "LG5 time."
The news comes just two days after Lady Gaga brought her Cheek to Cheek tour with Tony Bennett to a close. The tour was in support of their collaborative album of the same name, and finished at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., ahead of Bennett's 89th birthday.
"I'm so sad that this tour is ending. I will never forget it as long as I live. And maybe longer," the star captioned a picture of herself with Bennett. She also posted a snapshot of the elaborate birthday cake she got the singer.
Lady Gaga and Bennett released Cheek to Cheek in September 2014. The singer's last solo record, Artpop, debuted in November 2013, and topped the Billboard 200 upon its release. The album includes the singles "Applause" and "Do What U Want."
The star is also slated to appear on FX series American Horror Story: Hotel. The show's fifth season will feature Lady Gaga in an evil role and a love triangle between the singer, Finn Wittrock and Matt Bomer. Hotel will premiere in October.

Which Grammy award-winning rapper opened up about weight loss and addiction?
The real Slim Shady wasn't always so slim.
After overdosing on pills back in 2007, Grammy award-winning rapper Eminem found himself close to 230 pounds. Realizing that he needed to lose weight, he quickly replaced his addiction with exercise.
"When I got out of rehab, I needed to lose weight, but I also needed to figure out a way to function sober," the Detroit native wrote in an essay for the September issue of Men's Journal. "Unless I was blitzed out of my mind, I had trouble sleeping. So I started running. It gave me a natural endorphin high, but it also helped me sleep, so it was perfect."
The 8-Mile star took things a little too far, however, running 17 miles a day and tearing up his hip flexors in the process. A change in his routine was needed.
"So when I started to dial back on the treadmill, I tried out some of those workout DVDs you do at home. One of the first ones was Shaun T's Insanity workout. I know a lot of these DVD guys are wacky, but I'm alone in my gym; I need someone on the TV yelling to motivate me."
Eminem has continued to utilize workout DVDs in order to stay in shape, mentioning that he has incorporated both P90X and Body Beast into his fitness regimen.
Now fit and sober, Eminem plans to continue to exercise, not wanting to relive the events of 2007.
"Once you're at a place where you've made progress and you've got time invested in it," he wrote, "you don't wanna quit and give up what you started."
