Walters to interview Lohan

Broadcast journalist Barbara Walters says she has scheduled an interview with troubled Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan for the ABC News program '20/20.' Walters confirmed the booking on Monday's edition of her daytime chat show 'The View.' Lohan, 26, is to sit down with Walters for a segment to air Nov. 16. "Liz & Dick," a Lifetime movie in which the actress plays the late movie star Elizabeth Taylor, is to premiere Nov. 25. Lohan starred in the hit family films "Mean Girls," "Freaky Friday" and "The Parent Trap," but her once-bright career has been eclipsed in recent years by reports of her erratic behavior, substance abuse and legal troubles.

ABC to air 'Bachelorette' wedding

U.S. television network ABC says it plans to air the wedding of "The Bachelorette" stars Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum this December. The couple got engaged in Fiji on the dating competition series in August 2010. Chris Harrison will serve as host of "The Bachelorette: Ashley and J.P.'s Wedding." The program will "let viewers in on all the exciting festivities -- from her dress fitting for her dazzling custom-made gown to Ashley and J.P. planning the big day with their wedding planner," ABC said in a news release. "Then it's on to their bachelor and bachelorette parties, and the next stage of their romantic journey with a beautiful wedding ceremony in the perfect location. Past 'Bachelor' and 'Bachelorette' couples, stars and participants [to be announced at a later date] will be on the guest list to help the couple celebrate, along with their families and friends."

Shaffer says he may leave 'Late Show'

Paul Shaffer, musical director of "Late Show with David Letterman" in New York, says his contract expires in 2014 and his future is unclear after that. "We've been on 30 years so now we've got another two years," Letterman's 62-year-old sidekick told TV Guide Canada during the weekend. "I'm going to be certainly ready to lie down after that, take a nap. But life is nutty. Anything can happen. I've been so lucky and blessed to be working this long in show business. And whatever happens now is just gravy to me." The New York Post said Shaffer earns about $5 million a year in his position at "Late Show." A publicist for the show declined to comment on his remarks when contacted by the newspaper.
