Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

Time sure seems to be going by quickly!

Watching it fly by makes you realize how valuable time really is; surely not something to be squandered.

There is a saying I remember from childhood: "Live each day as if it were your last." While it may be somewhat unrealistic to carry out, in essence the message is so true. We never know what any given day will bring; we should live it serving Jesus in love, generosity, and forgiveness.

In doing so we will minimize our regrets and multiply our blessings!

God Bless You!

--TODAY'S NOT SO TRIVIAL TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. Who, in the Bible, made time stand still?

Answer below.

------------------------------------------------------------

--DAILY BIBLE VERSE:

To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to gain, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;
A time to tear, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate;
A time of war, and a time of peace.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

--TODAY'S BIT OF WISDOM/REFLECTION:

"Lost time is never found again."

--FEATURED FUNNY:

Last year, when daylight savings time ended, I realized that you cannot turn a digital watch backwards one hour to get back to standard time. My wife said, "All you have to do is turn it ahead twenty-three hours." I did... and for six months I was a day early for all my appointments.

--ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. Who, in the Bible, made time stand still?

A. Joshua

So the sun stood still,
And the moon stopped,
Till the people had revenge
Upon their enemies.

...So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day. And there has been no day like that, before it or after it, that the Lord heeded the voice of a man; for the Lord fought for Israel.

Joshua 10:13-14

If you have trouble accepting the idea that time stood still, consider the fact that in eternity time will be no more; God gave us a little taste of things to come.
