Hello fans,This week we are catching up with actress Quinn Cummings, known for her role in The Goodbye Girl and on the '70s soap opera Family. Although Cummings is no longer involved with acting, she has been keeping busy in other creative ways.

CLAIM TO FAME: She is known for her Oscar-nominated performance in 1977's The Goodbye Girl, and her role as Annie on the '70s soap Family.
FAMILY LIFE: In June 2000, Cummings gave birth to a daughter, Anneke, with partner Don DiPietro.
INFO: Cummings got her start when she was noticed by famed cinematographer James Wong Howe, and television commercial spots soon started.
She won the role of Lucy McFadden in the 1977 film The Goodbye Girl, which earned her a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress - Motion Picture.
She became known for her recurring role on the 1978 series Family as Annie.
In the 1980s, Cummings worked more as a casting agent, and later decided to quit acting because she didn't enjoy living her life in the public eye. Her last acting role was in a 1991 episode of Blossom.
TRIVIA: Attended UCLA for 2 years.
Father, Sumner, was president of a necktie company. He died when Quinn was 10.

WHERE IS SHE NOW: Cummings is the inventor of the HipHugger, a stylish, sling-type device for carrying a baby. She was the president of the HipHugger company until she sold it in 2006.
In February 2005, Cummings created The QC Report, a blog which discusses the ironies of modern life from the point of view of a career-mom in her thirties. You can check out her blog here: http://qcreport.blogspot.com/
Cummings is also a published author. Her first book, "Notes From The Underwire: Adventures from My Awkward and Lovely Life" was published in July 2009 by Hyperion Books.
In 2012, her second book, "The Year of Learning Dangerously," was published by Penguin Books. In 2013, Cummings published Pet Sounds, a collection of (mostly) humorous essays relating to living with and around animals.
She currently lives in Los Angeles with her daughter and her long-time boyfriend.
