CLAIM TO FAME: She is known for her role in the comedy films City Slickers (1991), and as Nancy Krieger Weston in the ABC television drama Thirtysomething (1987-91).

FAMILY LIFE: Wettig is married to actor and producer Ken Olin; they have two children, Clifford (b. 1983) and Roxanne (b. 1985).

INFO: Wettig's career has included roles in several films - City Slickers, Guilty by Suspicion and The Langoliers - and on television in such series as Thirtysomething and Brothers & Sisters. She earned many awards for her role as Nancy Weston on ABC's Thirtysomething.

She also played Joanne McFadden on the television program St. Elsewhere. During the 1980s and 1990s, she also appeared on L.A. Law, Frasier, Hill Street Blues, and Remington Steele.

In 2005, she portrayed the fictional Vice President Caroline Reynolds on the Fox television drama, Prison Break. She was offered a role as a series regular on the show, but declined to pursue Brothers & Sisters.

TRIVIA: Has three sisters-Pam, Phyllis, and Peggy.

Was raised in Grove City, Pennsylvania and graduated from Grove City High School in 1970.

Attended Ohio Wesleyan University and graduated from Temple University in 1975.

Has received three Primetime Emmy Awards and Golden Globe Awards for her role as Nancy Krieger Weston in the ABC television drama Thirtysomething (1987-91).

Her daughter, Roxanne (better known as "Roxy"), was a principal cast member of the MTV series The City, and also had a regular role on the ABC drama Brothers & Sisters.

Earned a master's degree in playwriting from Smith College in May 2001.

Is of German descent.

WHERE IS SHE NOW: She played Holly Harper on the TV series Brothers & Sisters from 2006-2011. In 2012, Wettig joined the national tour for Larry Kramer's production, The Normal Heart.

Aside from acting, Wettig has also focused on writing over recent years. Her play "My Andy," the story of Andy Warhol's relationship with his mother earned her a finalist position for the 2005 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, a writing award honoring outstanding English-language plays written by women.
