Menace when I was about 11, and I often wondered
whatever happened to the kid who played Dennis. Well,
that kid is Mason Gamble, and now he is all grown up.

BIRTH DATE: January 16, 1986, Chicago, Illinois


CLAIM TO FAME: He is best known for playing the role of
Dennis Mitchell in the 1993 film Dennis the Menace.


FAMILY LIFE: He is the second of two children to Tim and
Sally Gamble. He has a brother, Casey Gamble.


INFO: Gamble landed a small role in 1991's Groundhog Day,
but his scene never made it to the screen. He soon got
his big break when he won the role of Dennis in John
Hughes' film version of Dennis the Menace (1993), beating
out thousands of other kids at a nationwide casting call.

After Dennis, Gamble starred in supporting roles in films
such as Just in Time (1996), Spy Hard (1996), Bad Moon
(1996), Gattaca (1997), Rushmore (1998) and Arlington
Road (1999). He also starred in the 1999 made for TV
movie Anya's Bell, for which he won a Young Artist's
Award.

TRIVIA: Attended Lincoln Elementary School in Oak Park,
Illinois.

Lost two teeth during the filming of Dennis the Menace
(1993) and had to wear fake ones until after the movie
was finished.

Attended Oak Park River Forest High School.

Was a member of the football team and captain of the
track team as a state-qualifying pole-vaulter in high
school.

Became a National Merit Scholar Finalist.


WHERE IS HE NOW: Earlier in the decade, Gamble moved to
Los Angeles and attended UCLA. He appeared in Mike
Meiners' The Trouble with Dee Dee (2005), and also had
guest roles on the television shows Close to Home (2005)
and CSI: Miami (2006). Most recently, he plays the
lead in the film version of Michael Murphy's classic
novel, Golf in the Kingdom (2010).
