CLAIM TO FAME: He is best known for his TV role in the 1970s TV series The Rockford Files as Lt. Dennis Becker.

FAMILY LIFE: He has been married to Mary Montero since 1958 and they have two children: Joseph and Perry.

INFO: During the 1960s, Santos began appearing in films directed by his cousin, Joseph W. Sarno. He got his big break appearing as Dennis Becker in the 1970s television series The Rockford Files.

He starred as Lt. Frank Harper in the 1980s TV series Hardcastle and McCormick. He reprised his role as Dennis Becker in the 1990s for several made-for-television Rockford Files movies.

His career also includes roles in films, including Shaft's Big Score! (1972), The Friends of Eddie Coyle (1973), Blue Thunder (1983), Revenge (1990), and the 1991 action/drama film The Last Boy Scout as Lieutenant Benjamin Bessalo.

TRIVIA: Cousin of director Joseph W. Sarno.

Father of producer/director/writer Perry Santos.

WHERE IS HE NOW: His most recent acting project was in 2004 with his recurring role of "Consigliere Angelo Garepe" in the hit series "The Sopranos" (1999). He has also dabbled in playwriting, having penned "Sunset Normandie", in which he also starred.
