CLAIM TO FAME: Has an extensive acting career, with such standout credits as Quantum Leap, Blue Velvet, and Dune.
FAMILY LIFE: Stockwell married actress Millie Perkins in 1960 and the two divorced in 1962. In 1981 he married Joy Marchenko, with whom he had two children; they divorced in 2004.
INFO: Stockwell began working as a child actor under contract to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, and first caught the public's eye in such films as Anchors Aweigh and The Green Years. He went on to play the lead role in the 1957 Broadway and 1959 screen adaptations of Meyer Levin's Compulsion. In a career that has spanned more than 60 years, Stockwell has appeared in countless films and TV series, becoming well-known for playing Rear Admiral Albert "Al" Calavicci in the 1989-1993 television series Quantum Leap.
TRIVIA: Is an avid golfer who would play golf during breaks in filming episodes of Quantum Leap.

WHERE IS HE NOW: Stockwell now focuses most of his time creating digitally enhanced photographs and original collages in the style of fellow artist, Wallace Berman. He designed the album cover art for Neil Young's album American Stars 'N Bars.
Stockwell joined the cast of Battlestar Galactica starting with its second season finale, portraying what became the lead antagonist, Cylon John Cavil.
