CLAIM TO FAME: She is best known for her role as Winnie Cooper in the television show The Wonder Years.
FAMILY LIFE: She married composer Mike Verta in 2009 and they had a son together in 2010, named Draco. McKellar filed for divorce in 2012 and it became final in February 2013.
INFO: McKellar starred in the television series The Wonder Years as Gwendolyn "Winnie" Cooper. The show ran for six seasons on ABC, from 1988 to 1993. After The Wonder Years, McKellar appeared in a number of other television series, and has written and directed two short films. She had a recurring role in the 2002-03 season of The West Wing.
TRIVIA: Has a younger sister Crystal McKellar
Is the co-author of a groundbreaking mathematical physics theorem which bears her name, the Chayes-McKellar-Winn Theorem.

WHERE IS SHE NOW: McKellar had a recurring role on the show How I Met Your Mother, and made a guest appearance on The Big Bang Theory. She also voices "Miss Martian" on Cartoon Network's Young Justice.
McKellar is also a bestselling author. She has written four popular nonfiction Books: Math Doesn't Suck, Kiss My Math, Hot X: Algebra Exposed and Girls Get Curves: Geometry Takes Shape, which encourage middle-school and high-school girls to have confidence and succeed in mathematics.
