CHRISTOPHER LLOYD
http://www.celebritynooz.com/christopher_lloyd.aspx

BIRTH DATE: October 22, 1938, Stamford, Connecticut

CLAIM TO FAME: Lloyd is probably best known for his
portrayal of Emmett "Doc" Brown in the Back to the Future
trilogy. However, he has also played other iconic characters,
such as Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Uncle Fester
in The Addams Family and Addams Family Values, Kruge the
Klingon commander in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock,
and Reverend Jim Ignatowski on television's Taxi.

FAMILY LIFE: He was most recently married to writer/producer
Jane Walker Wood from 1992-2005; he was married three times
previously.

INFO: Lloyd's interest in acting began when he was 14 and
he joined summer stock theatre at age 16. After high school,
he moved to New York to pursue his acting ambitions, and
studied under drama coach Sanford Meisner from the
Neighborhood Playhouse. His career began with a 1969 Broadway
appearance in Red, White and Maddox, and he went on to make
several appearances on and off-Broadway and in a number of
New York Shakespeare Festivals.

He made his film acting debut in 1975's One Flew Over the
Cuckoo's Nest, playing the sadistic mental patient Taber.
In 1978, he got his big break when he was cast as the nutty
Reverend Jim Ignatowsky in the comedy Taxi. Although he was
only suppposed to appear in one episode, his character was
such a hit that Lloyd ended up being a regular on the show.
He won two Emmy's for this role.

He found even greater success when he played the crazy
inventor Doc Emmett Brown in the 1985 hit Back to the
Future, and its sequels. He also provided the voice of Doc
in the CBS morning cartoon, Back to the Future - The
Animated Series, and appeared in a special version of the
film made for a theme park ride. His other major roles
include that of a Klingon in Star Trek II: The Search for
Spock (1984), the nefarious Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger
Rabbit? (1988), and as Uncle Fester in both Addams Family
films (1991 and 1993).

TRIVIA: Is a descendant of a Mayflower passenger John
Howland.

Is a fan of fly fishing.

His nephew, Sam Lloyd, is best known for playing Ted
Buckland, the lawyer on Scrubs.

Seldom appears in public or gives interviews.

Is a devoted bicyclist.

Insists on signing a contract for every project that frees
him from all promotion duties.

WHERE IS HE NOW: Recent projects include playing Ebenezer
Scrooge in a 2008 production of A Christmas Carol at the
Kodak Theatre, and appearing in a trailer for the fake
horror film, Gobstopper, as a villainous Willy Wonka.

His voice can also be heard in many animated productions,
including 2008's The Tale of Despereaux. He was the voice
of The Hacker on the animated PBS series Cyberchase from
2002-2008.

On May 1 2010, he made a rare public appearance at the
Tampa Theatre for a screening of Back to the Future, and
even took part in a Q&A.
