Chris Tucker

BIRTH DATE: August 31, 1972, Atlanta, Georgia

CLAIM TO FAME: He is best known for his role as Detective James Carter in the Rush Hour trilogy.

FAMILY LIFE: Tucker has a son named Destin Christopher Tucker, who was born in 2000 and lives with his mother in Los Angeles.

INFO: After graduating from high school, Tucker moved to LA to pursue a career in comedy and movies. He frequently performed on Def Comedy Jam, and made his film debut in 1994's House Party 3.

He went on to appear alongside rapper Ice Cube in the 1995 film Friday, with Charlie Sheen in 1997's Money Talks, and with Bruce Willis in The Fifth Element.

In 1998, he starred in the successful martial arts comedy Rush Hour, which led to the sequels Rush Hour 2 and Rush Hour 3.

TRIVIA: Has Native American ancestry.

Was arrested in 2005 in Georgia for reckless driving and fleeing to elude after he did not pull over right away.

Graduated from Columbia High School in Decatur, GA.

Participated in the NBA All-Star Weekend's Celebrity Game in 2009.

Was given a $20 million salary for Rush Hour 2 and was paid $25 million salary for Rush Hour 3.

Starred in Michael Jackson's video "You Rock My World".

WHERE IS HE NOW: In 2011, Tucker returned to doing stand-up comedy. He owns homes in the luxury community of Bella Colina in Montverde, Florida, located west of Orlando, as well as in a gated community in Tarzana, California.
