CLAIM TO FAME: A couple of roles that seem to be most identified with Adrienne are: the daughter (Carol) of Maude on the TV series, 'Maude' and her role in the movie 'Escape From New York.'

FAMILY LIFE: Billy Van Zandt (1992 - current), twin boys, William and Walker... She was 52 when she gave birth to them.

John Carpenter (January 1979 - 1984) (divorced) son, Cody.

INFO: She was once a television talk show host and a weekly book reviewer for KABC talk radio.

Adrienne has starred in over 25 musicals and plays, among them "Pump Boys & Dinettes"; "Women Behind Bars"; Kander and Ebb's "And the World Goes Round"; "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas"; "Love Letters"; the West coast premieres of "A Walk on the Wild Side" and "Drop Dead"; the Canadian premiere of Neil Simon's "Lost in Yonkers"; and the world premiere of "What the Rabbi Saw"

TRIVIA: Was nominated for a Tony Award for her portrayal of bad-girl Rizzo in the original Broadway production of "Grease".

Made her Broadway debut in "Fiddler on the Roof" and has since returned. This time playing the role of Tevye's wife, Golde. Adrienne says, "I figure if I live long enough, I'll be playing Golde's grandmother, Tzeitle."

Worked as a New York city go-go dancer from 1964-1967 while breaking in on Broadway.

In 1998, she released her debut album as a folk singer, the self-titled Adrienne Barbeau.

Her acting mentor was the late Bea Arthur.

Attended and graduated from Del Mar High School in San Jose, California.

Attended and graduated from Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, California.

Sister-in-law of musician and actor Steven Van Zandt.

Was portrayed by Bridget Jones in an episode of the cult television series Mystery Science Theater 3000 (1988).

Voiced the Greek goddess Hera in the video game God of War III released for the PlayStation 3 in March 2010.

WHERE IS SHE NOW: Barbeau starred in the HBO series Carnivale from 2003 to 2005.

She had a cameo role in Rob Zombie's Halloween, but her scene was cut from the theatrical version of the film and only included in the DVD version.

In 2009, she played the Cat Lady in the family comedy The Dog Who Saved Christmas, appeared in the love story Reach for Me, and had guest spots in the first episode of Showtime's hit series Dexter (season 4), as well as on Grey's Anatomy.

From 2010-2011, she had a long-running role on the ABC daytime soap opera General Hospital as Suzanne Stanwyck.

In 2012, she provided the voice of UNSC scientist Dr. Tilson for the game Halo 4, which was released for the Xbox 360. Recently, Barbeau has also made appearances on a number of TV series, including Sons of Anarchy, Hell's Kitty and Criminal Minds.

Aside from acting, Barbeau is also a published author. Her autobiography There Are Worse Things I Could Do was published in 2006 by Carroll & Graf, rising to #11 on the Los Angeles Times best-sellers list. She published her first novel, Vampyres of Hollywood, in July 2008. The sequel Love Bites was published in 2010.
