Here's the Scoop....

More DWTS news today... Ex-"Dancing with the Stars" professionals Julianne and Derek Hough are developing a drama about a ballroom dance competition in Blackpool, England, Starz said. The brother-sister team will executive produce and serve as head choreographers for the series, which is set in the world of international competitive ballroom dancing and "will explore the dancer's obsession with perfection and the darker side of the glamorous world of ballroom dance," the cable television network said.

Sounds kinda interesting, what do you think?

Weiland fired from Stone Temple Pilots

Stone Temple Pilots said Wednesday it has fired founding member and lead singer Scott Weiland, but the San Diego rock band didn't explain why. "Stone Temple Pilots have announced they have officially terminated Scott Weiland," the group said in a brief statement, providing no further details about the split. The band was wildly popular in the early 1990s, broke up in 2003, got back together in 2008 and toured together last year. Weiland recently told Rolling Stone the band has been going through a rough patch. "My personal feeling is that we need some new blood in the band," he told the magazine. "We've been playing the same greatest hits set since we got back together. I'd like to make a new record. It will breathe new life into the group," Weiland said, adding his fellow band members didn't like his ideas. "There were some hurt egos. But that's the way it is." The New York Times said Weiland is scheduled to start a solo concert tour next month.

Tina Fey says she won't host Oscars

Actress, writer and producer Tina Fey says she won't serve as host of next year's Oscars if asked by Hollywood's Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Fey and Amy Poehler, her longtime friend and fellow "Saturday Night Live" alum, earned rave reviews when they headed up the Golden Globes telecast last month, while Seth MacFarlane received mixed reactions for his turn as emcee of Sunday's Oscars show. "I just feel like that gig is so hard," Fey told the Huffington Post Tuesday about why she doesn't want to be an Oscar host. "Especially for, like, a woman -- the amount of months that would be spent trying on dresses alone ... no way," she said, declining to say there is even a "one-in-a-million chance" of her taking the job. "I wish I could tell you there was," she said. Fey recently wrapped her seven-year, award-winning stint on the TV sitcom "30 Rock" and will be seen next month in the big-screen comedy "Admission."

Report: McAdams and Sheen break up

"Midnight in Paris" co-stars Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen have ended their real-life courtship after more than two years, UsMagazine.com said Wednesday. No reason was given for the split. McAdams, 34, and Sheen, 44, met on the set of the film, remained friends throughout production and began attending public events together as a couple in October 2010. The actress previously was engaged to her "Notebook" leading man Ryan Gosling. Sheen has a 14-year-old daughter with his ex-girlfriend, actress Kate Beckinsale.

Bobby Brown to serve 55 days in jail

A Los Angeles judge has sentenced R&B artist Bobby Brown to 55 days in jail for driving under the influence and with a suspended license, records show. He is to report to jail March 20, Los Angeles City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan told E! News, confirming Brown's no contest plea and sentence Tuesday. The 55-year-old singer also was placed on 48 months summary probation and ordered to pay fees, complete an 18-month alcohol program and install an ignition interlock device that prohibits the driver from starting the car if his or her blood alcohol content is over a certain limit, E! News said. Brown's license was suspended due to a prior conviction for driving under the influence. The singer is the ex-husband of recording artist Whitney Houston, who died in February 2012. The couple had a stormy relationship fueled by drug and alcohol abuse and their 14- year marriage ended in 2007.
