Ephesians 5:30-33

For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His
bones. "For this reason a man shall leave his father and
mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become
one flesh."

This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and
the church. Nevertheless let each one of you in particular
so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that
she respects her husband.

Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

In the Bible, the relationship between Jesus and the church
is often compared to the relationship between a man and a
woman who are engaged to be married; Jesus is the groom and
the church is the bride who is eagerly awaiting the arrival
of the bridegroom.

Anyone who has experienced this wonderful event in their
lives can surely remember the joyous anticipation that
preceded the wedding day, nothing quite compares.

That is the condition of all believers: we are the fiancee
awaiting our bridegroom, who is Jesus the Savior.

God Bless You!

--FEATURED FUNNY:

When my grandsons came home from Sunday school during one of
our weekend visits to their home, I asked if either of them
could tell me where to find the Ten Commandments.

Blank stares and silence were finally broken when one of
them said, "Have you looked it up in the Yellow Pages?"

--ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. How many wives and concubines did Solomon have?

A. And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and
three hundred concubines; and his wives turned away
his heart.

1 Kings 11:3

Though this must not have been pleasing to God, the law
did not specifically say that a man could not have more
than one wife.

Jesus made it clear that God intended one man to marry
one woman and be faithful to her.
