Jon Hamm talks life after 'Mad Men,' Bryan Cranston advice
Jon Hamm doesn't know what awaits him following the end of his hit AMC show Mad Men later this year.

The 44-year-old actor opened up about the end of the show and the advice he received from Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston in regards to saying goodbye to a character after many years, in the April issue of GQ magazine.

"'It's hard, man. It's hard to let it go. It'll hit you a couple of different ways at different times,'" Hamm said Cranston told him.

As for his plans for the future, the actor says losing Don Draper, the character he's played over the past eight years, has been an "eye opening experience."

"The one constant thing I've had in my career is now removed," Hamm said. "And that's an eye-opener: Are people still going to take me seriously? Am I just going to do romantic comedies for the rest of my life? What's next? And I don't know, you know? I wish I was smug enough to have had a grand plan."

But leaving the troubled character behind also has a positive side. Hamm confessed he's been "hoping for redemption, and it's not forthcoming."

"To consistently come in and be the bummer was always like, 'Oh, that's not fun,'" he said. "But at the same time, it's been like the greatest obstacle course in the world. A puzzle to ?gure out."

Hamm's full interview is available on GQ's website. The second half of the seventh and final season of Mad Men premieres April 5.

Vin Diesel names new daughter after late actor Paul Walker
Vin Diesel and girlfriend Paloma Jimenez have chosen a special name for their newborn daughter.

The 47-year-old actor and 31-year-old actress named their third child Pauline after Diesel's friend and late The Fast and the Furious co-star, Paul Walker. Diesel and Jimenez welcomed the infant earlier this month, and the star revealed the name Monday on Today.

"There's no other person that I'm thinking about as I'm cutting this umbilical cord," he said of the late actor. "I knew he was there and I felt like, you know, a way to keep his memory a part of my memory, a part of my world."

Diesel and Walker debuted as Dominic Toretto and Brian O'Conner in The Fast and the Furious (2001), and went on to co-star in four sequels. Walker died in a car accident at age 40 in November 2013, and Diesel honored his friend at an advance screening of Furious 7 last week.

Diesel and Jimenez are also parents to daughter Hania and son Vincent. Furious 7 opens in theaters April 3, and the actor is scheduled for The Last Witch Hunter with Rose Leslie and xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.

LOOSE LIPS:
"To be honest, [my dad] didn't care if I was a plumber or if I was an actor. He just said, 'Whatever you do, do it well. Be humble, work hard and be a man.'"

Stephen King tells Maine governor to apologize for tax evasion accusation
Stephen King has requested an apology from Maine Gov. Paul LePage after he accused the author of moving to Florida to avoid paying income tax.

LePage said in a weekly address that King moved to Florida to avoid income taxes in his state. King, a resident of Maine and frequent critic of LePage, fired back at the governor in a statement on local radio.

"Governor LePage is full of the stuff that makes the grass grow green," he said. Wife "Tabby and I pay every cent of our Maine state income taxes, and are glad to do it."

He then demanded an apology on Twitter.

Governor Paul LePage implied that I don't pay my taxes. I do. Every cent. I think he needs to man up and apologize.- Stephen King (@StephenKing) March 20, 2015

The Bangor Daily News reports King votes in Maine and lists his political donations under Maine residency. He is often seen in Bangor with his wife where he keeps a home several cars with Maine license plates in the driveway.

To reinforce his case, King released his tax numbers to the Portland Press Herald in an emailed statement.

"In 2013, my wife and I paid approximately 1.4 million (dollars) in state taxes," he wrote. "As this is a matter of public record, I have no problem telling you that. I would imagine 2014 was about the same, but I do not have those figures. In addition, the King Foundation gives grants from three to five million dollars annually, mostly in Maine. We consider this a very fair price for living in the most beautiful state in America."

Which Punk Rock icon got his own weekly show on BBC Radio?

Godfather of Punk Iggy Pop is to return to BBC Radio 6 Music as a permanent presenter.

Starting April 10, the rock icon will host his own weekly show. He first presented two shows on the network back in December 2013. Following that success, in March last year, he took over Jarvis Cocker's Sunday Service slot while Jarvis took a year's sabbatical.

"Having sat in for Jarvis Cocker last year on BBC Radio 6 Music, I found myself realizing how good it was for me," Iggy Pop said in a statement. "I hope it was good for somebody else, too. So, I'm gonna do it again this year, on early Friday evenings; what we call in the USA the 'happy hour.' It's kind of an edgy point right at the end of the designated work week, and I'll try to play quite a bit of music that's new and stimulating mixed with very old classics from the blues and jazz masters of the 1920s through '50s that are a little more moody. I'm gonna think of myself as a kind of atmospheric bartender. I'll try to do my very best."

"It's wonderful to be able to welcome back Iggy Pop to 6 Music," added Paul Rodgers, head of programs for 6 Music. "Iggy did great work on Sunday afternoons, fast becoming a new favorite for the 6 Music audience and I'm confident listeners will be every bit as appreciative of his new Friday evening slot. I've seen some of the music he's planning to play and its really exciting."
