'From Paris With Love' DVD

John Travolta stars in this high-octane action comedy. James
Reese (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) is an aide to the American
ambassador to France, and he has a sexy girlfriend (Kasia
Smutniak). Then loose-cannon CIA agent Charlie Wax (Travolta)
shows up in Paris to bring down some drug dealers, and he
is paired with Reese. Soon Wax and Reese are in a buddy
movie, noisily ripping around Paris, going after terrorists.
Shootouts, high-speed chases and explosions abound as the
body count escalates. There's a gag that refers to a food
Travolta's character liked in Pulp Fiction.

'Shutter Island' DVD

Martin Scorsese directed this psychological thriller that
stars Leonardo DiCaprio. The film was adapted from a novel
by Dennis Lehane. Shutter Island, off the coast of Massa-
chusetts, is the site of a maximum-security facility for the
criminally insane. In 1954 federal marshals Teddy Daniels
(DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo) go there to investi-
gate the disappearance of a killer. But it may be that Cold
War medical research is being conducted, a hurricane compli-
cates the investigation, and Daniels has inner demons of
own. The cast includes Ben Kingsley and Max von Sydow.
