TRIVIA TODAY - Wednesday, August 4, 2010

Greetings Infomaniacs,

Today's topic is something that I am not a fan of - insects!
I'm sure that many of you feel the same way. I went camping
for the first time last weekend, and my biggest concern was
sleeping in bug territory. Luckily, the campground was on
the beach, so we didn't have to worry about too many pesky
friends hanging around. I still armed myself with a bottle
of Off - no itchy bug bites for me!

Enjoy!
Melissa

TODAY'S MYSTERY QUOTE

QUOTE: "Two-legged creatures we are supposed to love as we
love ourselves. The four-legged, also, can come to seem
pretty important. But six legs are too many from the human
standpoint."

HINT: (1893-1970), American writer, critic, and naturalist.

To survive the cold winter months, many insects replace

When the droppings of millions of cattle started ruining
the land in Australia, dung beetles were imported to reduce

Male mosquitoes do not bite humans, but rather live on plant
juices and other natural liquids from plants and decomposing
organic material.

*** Weekly Mind-Scrambler ***

Many have heard it, but nobody has ever seen it, and it
will not speak back until spoken to. What is it?
