TRIVIA TODAY - Monday, January 4, 2016

Greetings Infomaniacs,

Is anyone out there a fan of the PBS series Downton Abbey? The premiere episode of the final series began last night, and I must say I am sad about it. It is one of my favorite shows!

At the library where I work, we held a tea party yesterday afternoon to celebrate the show. We had tea and scones just like we would at a proper British tea, played some trivia, and even watched some video clips of the show. Sometimes I really love my job!

Enjoy!
Melissa

RANDOM TIDBITS

The real Downton Abbey is Highclere Castle which served as the exterior and most of the interiors (except the servants' quarters which were constructed in a studio).

Elizabeth McGovern (Cora, Countess of Grantham) is in the band Sadie and the Hotheads with Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary Crawley) as an occasional contributor.

Jim Carter (Mr. Carson) does charity bike rides all over the world.

Famous neighbor Andrew Lloyd Webber tried to purchase Highclere Castle to hold his art collection.

Jessica Brown-Findley (Lady Sybil Crawley) decided to try acting after ankle problems caused her to give up ballet dancing.

Masterpiece was the second most popular program on TV the night of the Super Bowl.

Wheresoever I may be,
Every man must follow me;
He must go where I may lead,
Though it be to change his creed.
Though I vary in my size,
I am still beneath your eyes;
and though you may go astray,
I must ever lead the way.
Every creature in the land,
Has me close at his command,
For I lead to things unseen,
By my properties so keen.

What am I?
