TRIVIA TODAY - Monday, March 29, 2010
Greetings Infomaniacs,
I hope that everyone had a great weekend. On Saturday night,
I tested my line dancing skills at a country and western bar.
I used to know a few line dances, and could even bust a move
to Achy Breaky Heart. But it's been awhile and my moves were
definitely looking a tad rusty. My friends and I had a lot of
fun on the dance floor anyway, and by the end of the night we
didn't look half bad out there!
Enjoy!

RANDOM TIDBITS
The great pyramids of Egypt now stand a full three miles
south of the spot where they were originally built. That's
how much the earth's surface has shifted in the last 4,500
years.
***
The three pyramids of Giza match the belt of Orion, but
they did not when the pyramids were built. It seems that
the Egyptians built the pyramids to resemble today's belt
of Orion.
***
The Egyptian Pyramids were not made from cut stone. The
blocks were poured in place using crushed, local limestone
and a 'geopolymer' - a cement that is better than most known
today. The largest was built in 20 years using an estimated
14,000 workers.
