No more interruptions: When Kanye West and Taylor Swift meet
again at the MTV VMA Awards Sept. 12, he has a special gift
for the singer - hopefully, she will let him finish.
"I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that's so beautiful and I
want her to have it," he said on his Twitter Saturday morning.
"If she won't take it then I'll perform it for her."
Perhaps a sly nod to her pop anthem, "You're Not Sorry," which
was released on her 2008 album Fearless?
Nearly a year since he first apologized to Taylor, the hip-hop
artist is still offering up I'm sorries, calling her "justa
lil girl with dreams like the rest of us" on his Twitter.
"She deserves the apology more than anyone," he Tweeted, before
thanking the creators of Twitter for making a public platform
for expression. "We're both artist[s] and the media and managers
are trying to get between us. Everyone wants to capitalize off
this [in] some way."

Jessica Simpson Pays Tribute to Her Dog Daisy...
Jessica Simpson is taking time out Tuesday to remember the
love of her life ? her dog Daisy.
"This day last year my life changed because I lost my baby
Daisy Mae ? the best pup of all time," Jessica Tweeted
Tuesday. "Give your dog some extra love today!!"
Last fall, Jessica's maltipoo was snatched by a coyote,
leaving the singer "heartbroken," she said at the time.
"Today, pay tribute to sweet Daisy Mae by chasing a squirrel
& eating some chicken! I miss her & love her so very much!"
Jessica wrote in a separate post Tuesday.
But one thing that has changed for the better for Jessica:
One year ago, she was still getting over her breakup with
Tony Romo. But now, she is happily dating former NFL player
Eric Johnson.
"I met a wonderful man," Jessica wrote on Twitter over the
weekend. "Damn I'm lucky!"

JetBlue's Steven Slater Working on Plea Deal to Avoid Jail...
Will Steven Slater be able to slide away from his legal troubles?
The former JetBlue flight attendant, who became a folk hero after
jumping out of an emergency exit to flee an allegedly abusive
passenger last month, is working on a plea deal with prosecutors,
his attorney said in court on Tuesday.
The case was adjorned until next month as the lawyers continue to
work on a deal.
WNBC says Steven's charges could be reduced or dropped if he
submits to anger-management classes and alcohol-abuse counseling,
though the Queens district attorney's office has not confirmed
that.
Steven faces up to seven years in prison on charges of reckless
endangerment, criminal mischief and criminal trespassing.
Prosecutors have said Steven could have killed or grievously
injured anyone standing on the tarmac below the inflatable
plastic chute.
Steven, who has pleaded not guilty, claims that a passenger
became abusive with him aboard the flight during a dispute over
luggage. However, investigators have had trouble finding anyone
on board who would corroborate his account.

First Top Chef Winner Harold Dieterle Marries Fellow Foodie...
Congratulations ? or should we say bon appétit? ? to 2006 Top
Chef winner Harold Dieterle, who tied the knot with fellow
foodie and longtime girlfriend Meredith Lynn Davies Saturday.
In traditional Southern style, the pair married in Davies's
hometown, Atlanta, at a downtown church. They then celebrated
their nuptials at a reception held at the Capital City Country
Club, where Lynn donned a Pnina Tornai gown, and Harold wore a
Paul Stuart white dinner jacket.
And the wedding ceremony was a Top Chef affair: Fellow season
one competitors Lee Anne Wong and Stephen Asprinio were among
the 175 guests to attend..
The couple, who met at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, Colo.,
which was part of the prize package for Harold's Top Chef
victory, treated guests to a fox trot to Ray Lamontagne's "You
Are the Best Thing" for their first dance.
The biggest surprise: The Top Chef stayed out of the kitchen,
he didn't even know what was on the menu, which was catered
by the country club, prior to the reception.
The newlyweds are jetting off to Rome Sunday morning for an
Italian honeymoon, which will also include stops in Positano
and Sicily.

John Travolta Drops Extortion Case Charges...
A Bahamian court on Monday dismissed charges against a former
paramedic and his attorney accused of trying to extort $25
million from John Travolta in the wake of his son's death
last year.
John and his family asked that the charges be dropped because
he had "concluded that it was in my family's best interest
for me not to voluntarily return to the Bahamas to testify a
second time at trial," John said in a prepared statement.
"Almost a year later, the long pending status of this matter
continued to take a heavy emotional toll on my family,
causing us to conclude that it was finally time to put this
matter behind us."
Former Bahamian Senator Pleasant Bridgewater and her client,
Tarino Lightbourn, were charged with extortion when they
allegedly threatened to go to the media if John refused to
pay $25 million for a "Refusal to Transport" document that
John had signed the day his son Jett died at their vacation
home in Freeport. Jett, 16, who had autism, died Jan. 2,
2009 after suffering a seizure. The case against Bridgewater
and Lighbourn ended in a mistrial last year.
The former paramedic would not comment on specifics about
the case, but maintains he has good will toward the actor.
"I'm a John fan," he says. "I will always be a John fan.
My favorite movie is Grease."
John and Kelly Preston, who is expecting a baby, were all
smiles over the weekend during a visit to The Wizarding
World of Harry Potter in Orlando.

Looks like Jennifer Aniston's guest starring role on Cougar
Town comes with some sweet fringe benefits.
Jennifer, who was recently rumored to be back together with
John Mayer, shared a two-hour Italian dinner with Cougar
Town actor Josh Hopkins at Madeo in Beverly Hills.
"She seemed very excited about her date," says a eyewitness.
"She and Josh sat at a more private table and they seemed to
get along great."
Jennifer, who sipped white wine and ordered fish, shared
animated conversations with Josh. "It was obvious that
they don't know each other well, but there was a flirty
energy between them and Jen looked very happy," adds the
witness.
Reps for both haven't commented on the relationship, but
there's no denying the smile on Jennifer's face these days.
"Jen has been in the best mood lately," a source reveals.
"She is trying to do whatever makes her happy, which includes
going on fun dates with interesting men."
And Jen's optimistic attitude could lead to more fun in the
dating world.

biopic "W.E.," which reportedly chronicles the life of
British royal Edward VIII who abdicated the throne after
falling in love with American divorcee Wallis Simpson.
And now director Madonna has reportedly added her daughter
to the cast.
The 13-year-old was spotted in period schoolgirl clothing
during a day of filming in Londonr.
