Last week we sent out part one of these tips. There are so many things out there if you look that can help work with any size room, any type of situation, etc. to make your life easier. I am planning to use a lot of these in my home myself!
-Fold your sheets or duvet covers and put them into the matching pillow cases. This not only allows you to easily grab the whole set without hunting for them, it also allows for more space in your closets!
-Utilize extra space in your kitchen cabinets by adding wire baskets to the bottom of each shelf. It will easily fit coffee cups, small bowls, or small plates, maximizing the usage of all your cabinets!
-If you don't have enough space in your doors for all you condiments, but do have a larger fridge, put in a lazy susan. Put all the condiments, sour cream, butter, etc on the lazy susan so you don't have to hunt the fridge for these items, or worry about them going bad from them being hidden somewhere!
-Declutter your closets once a year. Start out the year with all your hangers facing out towards you. As you wear clothes during the year, turn the hanger around so that it faces the back of the closet. Anything left facing out at the end of the year, donate to your favorite charity! You haven't worn it, so you don't need it!
-Use a cereal container with a sealable lid in your car as a trash can. You can use grocery bags to line it and it will fit almost anywhere in your car without taking up too much space!
-Use magnets inside of your cupboard or vanity to keep nail clippers, tweezers, etc easily accessible!
-To allow for magazines in a room, without cluttering the floor, repurpose an old window shutter! Paint or decorate it how you'd like and hang it up on the wall!
-Add a newspaper rack to the inside of your pots and pans cabinet. It will hold the tops to your pots and pans, leaving more room on the shelves themselves.
-Add mini adjustable rods vertically on a shelf or in a pantry to hold cutting boards, cookie sheets, etc standing up and taking less space.
-To store dirty clothes under your washer and dryer find a shelf that is sturdy enough to hold the weight of the washer and dryer that will hold your laundry baskets inside it. You can have one for colors, darks, and whites!
-Hair ties, headbands, bracelets, etc are always hard to store and still see what you own. Use glass bottles to hold bracelets and hair ties for easy visibility. Use a decorated larger metal can for headbands. If you don't want them in your cupboard or on your sink, you can find a decorative box to hang from the wall to hold them!
As I said, there are so many different ideas, especially with the creation of Pinterest boards. If there is something you need help organizing, you can find it out there!
