Rumor has it nothing major went down, just some kissing, but

Tiger Woods: "I Have Let My Family Down?...

Tiger released a new statement on his website Wednesday.
He does not specifically mention his rumored affairs with
Jaimee Grubbs, Rachel Uchitel and other women. He does shoot
down talk that a physical fight with his wife Elin Nordegren
led to his Friday car crash, calling such stories "utterly
false and malicious." Yet, in vague language, he says, "I
have let my family down...I am dealing with my behavior and
my personal failings behind closed doors with my family."

Tiger suggests that he won't be divulging any more details on
his marriage or alleged infidelity: "Personal sins should not
require press releases and problems within a family shouldn't
have to mean public confessions...I will strive to be a better
person and the husband and father that my family deserves." He
and Elin have two children: daughter Sam, 2, and son Charlie,
9 months.

I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions
with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and
the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and
I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and
personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those
feelings should be shared by us alone.

Mayer Helps Reunite Lohan and Ronson...

John helped reunite exes Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson
Monday at New York City nightclub Butter.

When John stopped by the hot spot, he shuttled back and forth
between the scorned lovers, who split in April after two
years together, and eventually got the pair talking before
the night's end.

Initially camped out at John's table, Lindsay was joined
by Samantha after John spoke with the deejay. The women
were seen laughing and talking for the night, which ended
around 3 a.m. with Lindsay and Samantha leaving the
club separately.

"Lindsay seemed happier than she has in ages," a witness at
utter tells the New York Daily News. "Sam eventually got up
and deejayed for a while, and Lindsay kept standing up and
looking over to the deejay booth, smiling."

This is not the first time John, who romanced Jennifer
Aniston, Cameron Diaz and Jessica Simpson, has doled out
love advice.

Valerie Bertinelli and Nicole Sullivan are about to be in even
better company as Eastwick star Sara Rue joins them as the

Family Ties's Meredith Baxter: 'I'm a Lesbian Mom'...

Most people know Meredith Baxter as Elyse Keaton, everyone's

This hollywood actor could be facing up to a $50,000 fine for
allegedly chopping down 200 trees without permission...

It's Richard Gere...

Richard opened a bed-and-breakfast in a restored farmhouse in
Westchester County, New York in February, 2009 - but he's come
under fire from locals after remodeling the 14 acres of land.

Gere and his wife Carey Lowell are accused of felling nearly
200 trees to create a horse paddock at their country retreat.

R.J. Marx, editor of the local Bedford Record-Review newspaper,
tells New York Post gossip column PageSix, "He rehabilitated
an old, decaying piece of property and people were very happy
about that. He's very popular in the community. His son plays
Little League here. (But) the feeling is that he acted a bit
precipitously in clearing the trees. People are somewhat
disappointed that he didn't follow procedure.

"Rather than seeking the proper channels and permits, he
hired someone to cut them down. He's generally a good
neighbor. It was out of character. This is a town where money
isn't an issue. What matters are good manners and caring
about the community. People have been supportive of him, but
I'm not sure what he was thinking."

The publication reports Gere is facing a $250 fine for each
tree felled, meaning he could be charged around $50,000 if
local authorities find he created the clearing without the
proper permits. Gere is reportedly in discussions with
officials about replanting some of the trees.
