Greetings Thrifty Friends,

Did you read that gas prices have just hit a historic high for this time of year? And crude prices and refinery shutdowns indicate that prices won't be coming down any time soon.

However, there are plenty of competing vendors you can go to, the trick is knowing what gas station has the best price without burning half a tank of gas (and half your day) driving all over town to save ten cents a gallon.

Would you believe somebody already figured out an answer to this one?

You can probably get to a computer before you hop into your car to fill up the tank on your way to or from work, so jump onto http://www.gasbuddy.com and find the station along your route that has the cheapest gas. It is as easy as entering your zip code.
