Greetings Thrifty Friends,
Stains, stains go away.....but you don't have to breathe bleach and ammonia to get rid of them.
As a side note it is important NOT to mix bleach
and ammonia unless you are trying to produce
hydrochloric acid and a little chlorine gas as a
bonus (which, when inhaled, will make your lungs
fill up with liquid, drowning you at your sink).
A little inexpensive baking soda and water will take out a wide variety of stains and save a lot of expensive repairs! Scroll down to find out some helpful uses.
Keep pinchin' those pennies,

TODAY'S THRIFTY TIP:
* Crayon or texta marks on walls? Try applying baking soda/water paste on an old toothbrush and lightly brush the affected area.
* Water stains on wooden floors can be removed with a sponge dampened in a solution of baking soda dissolved in water.
* Stains on porcelain sinks, toilets and plastics can be removed by applying a layer of baking soda and then using a damp sponge. This also works well on a water stain in a sink that couldn't be removed without the use of heavy duty chemicals and scratching the surface.
