Here's the Scoop...

Have you been keeping up with the 2016 Olympic Games? I've been tuning in, maybe a little too much. I've watched so much competitive swimming that I think I've got an ear infection. I've watched so much boxing that I've got cauliflower ear. I think I've got to cut down.

And I think I've got to get my ears checked out!

Be Well,
Steve

Leslie Jones on Rio Olympics: 'It's a time where all of us can forget about all the B.S.'
Leslie Jones believes that the Summer Olympics is a time for the Untied States to band together.

"It's a time where all of us can forget about all the B.S. that's going on and come together and compete as a country," the Ghostbusters star said Saturday amongst cheers alongside Ryan Seacrest as part of NBC's coverage of the event.

Jones, who arrived in Rio Thursday after being invited to help host the Olympics by NBC producer Jim Bell due to her epic live-tweets, also shared her excitement for Michael Phelps' winning his 23rd Olympic gold medal after announcing he would be retiring.

"The USA swimming team made that pool their [expletive]!" she said. "All of them were straight warriors!"

On Sunday, Jones continued live-tweeting, sharing in the excitement of Jamaica's Usain Bolt winning the gold medal in the 100m. "He is awesome y'all," she wrote alongside a video of the athlete pointing to the crowd after his victory. Jones can be heard in the background referring to Bolt as a "champion."

Tom Hiddleston says relationship with Taylor Swift is 'not a publicity stunt'
Tom Hiddleston is opening up about his high-profile romance with Taylor Swift.

The 35-year-old actor addressed the downsides of dating the 26-year-old pop superstar while discussing his Emmy nomination for The Night Manager with The Hollywood Reporter.

"We all live in a world where every phone has a camera and there's nothing new, really, about the spotlight on me," Hiddleston said of interest in the relationship. "I think that's what happens when you're a public figure."

"I've learned that there are many sides to a story, and that sometimes there are a lot of stories out there which are false," he added. "The hardest thing is to try to not let those falsehoods affect your own life, that's what I would say."

Hiddleston and Swift were first linked in mid-June, just two weeks after Swift's split from boyfriend Calvin Harris. The actor later denied that he and the "Bad Blood" singer are only together for the press.

"The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together, and we're very happy," Hiddleston told The Hollywood Reporter in July. "That's the truth. It's not a publicity stunt."

"I love that they're both happy and free together," model Martha Hunt, a friend of Swift's, added to People magazine. "It's amazing. I'm all about people being happy in love."

Hiddleston appeared to confirm he and Swift are going strong by following the singer on Instagram Friday. The actor had joined the photo-sharing site a few days previous and shared a picture of himself as Loki as his first post.

LOOSE LIPS:
"Honestly it was so long ago and I have damaged my brain so poorly in the last few years, I have a hard time recalling what it's about or who is supposed to be mad at who. I have no bad feelings toward her at all."
--Seth Rogen, addressing Katherine Heigl's 2007 comments about their film Knocked Up, on Watch What Happens Live

Which actor said that he doesn't binge-watch anything while he's working?

Thomas Gibson speaks out following his firing from 'Criminal Minds'
Actor Thomas Gibson has released a statement addressing his surprise firing from the television series Criminal Minds.

"I love Criminal Minds and have put my heart and soul into it for the last 12 years," TVGuide.com reported Gibson said in a statement. "I had hoped to see it through to the end, but that won't be possible now. I would just like to say thank you to the writers, producers, actors, our amazing crew, and, most importantly, the best fans that a show could ever hope to have."

Deadline said Gibson was terminated after he allegedly assaulted one of the show's writer-producers two weeks ago, an incident that only became public in the past few days. He was initially suspended, but his bosses announced Friday he had been let go.

Gibson was also engaged in a similar dustup with an assistant director several years ago.

Gibson, 54, played Special Agent Aaron Hotchner since the show's inception. Before that, he was best known for his work on the popular sitcom Dharma & Greg and medical drama Chicago Hope.

Which actor said that he doesn't binge-watch anything while he's working?

Irish actor Cillian Murphy says he avoids watching dramatic films or TV shows while he is working, believing they might influence his own performance.

While on the promotion trail for his new World War II movie Anthropoid, the married father of two children told UPI he spent some of his downtime while on location in Czech Republic viewing music documentaries instead of binge-watching trendy TV shows.

"I find it hard to watch film when I am making a film," Murphy explained. "It can inform you both ways. If it's something really good, you can sort of get like, 'Oh, my God, we're not being as good,' or if it is something really [expletive,] you're like, 'Oh, it's going to infect you.' So, I try to avoid it. So, that's why, yeah, we watched documentaries."

"I watched Peaky," confessed Murphy's co-star Jamie Dornan, referring to Murphy's celebrated, television series Peaky Blinders.

The confession was met with an F-bomb and a laugh from Murphy.

Anthropoid is in theaters now.
