Hello Everyone...

There are only a handful of bands that put out consistently great albums. Not even Jack White can claim such a feat (I was rather disappointed with his debut solo album) You know when you hear a debut album and think to yourself that this can only get better! But the unmet expectations can really bum me out on the 2nd or 3rd album.

Franz Ferdinand's debut album in 2004 was pretty darn good. It had Take Me Out, a super fun megahit for them, probably still their biggest hit to date. The other songs including 3 other singles were all pretty good too. I wasn't crazy about it, but still looked forward to the next album. It turned out to be even better, since their newfound popularity warranted a higher quality sound and recording techniques.

Since then, every album has been better than the last (in my humble opinion). While none of them have a radio-friendly megahit onboard, every song has it's own awesomeness. It's super danceable fun, and the lead singer has this cool deep voice. They just released their newest album in 4 years, and no surprise, but I love it. Here's their first single: Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action. The video is awesome, and actually seems to borrow from a lot of modern design trends on the web. Enjoy it!
