Thursday, August 15, 2013Greetings Bible Enthusiast!
What hope can we have for our society, in which one out of every two marriages ends in divorce? There are so many couples, who after years of fighting, pain, bitterness, and unfaithfulness, end their marriages leaving a path of destruction behind them, littered with the broken hearts of children, parents, siblings, and friends.
The answer is in prayer, and the power of the Holy Spirit who brings repentance and forgiveness to those who are willing. Even when there is no hope of reconciliation because of remarriage, there is always the hope for repentance which brings forgiveness and healing.
In any situation, we can pray that the Holy Spirit would convict any guilty party of their sin and bring them to repentance. This would then allow them to ask forgiveness of all those who have been hurt in the process. Only then can healing begin; even when there is no way back, at least they could then go forward with a clear conscience, and a clean heart.
Our hope is in Jesus who understands so deeply that He was willing to die in order that we may be cleansed of all our sins and live renewed lives!
God Bless You!

'Like' Deal of the Day Here********************--TODAY'S NOT SO TRIVIAL TRIVIA QUESTION: Q. How did Absalom's hair become his undoing?
Answer below.
------------------------------------------------------------
--DAILY BIBLE VERSE:And when the servant of Elisha arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?"
And Elisha answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." And Elisha prayed, and said, "Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see."
Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
2 Kings 6:15-17
An incredible story of an army of God, normally not seen, but made visible through the prayer of Elisha. What hope and joy must have surged through that servant's heart! What a sight it must have been!

--FEATURED FUNNY: A neighbor told her friend about her toddler Allison who went for a two-year-old checkup. While doing coordination tests, the doctor asked, "Allison, can you stand on one foot?" She promptly walked over and stood on his foot.
********************--ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION: Q. How did Absalom's hair become his undoing?
A. it became tangled in a terebinth tree
During the battle... Absalom met the servants of David. Absalom rode on a mule. The mule went under the thick boughs of a great terebinth tree, and his head caught in the terebinth...
Then Joab took three spears in his hand and thrust them through Absalom's heart, while he was still alive in the midst of the terebinth tree.
2 Samuel 18:8-14
What a terrible price Absalom paid for going against his father, King David. His lust for power brought nothing but grief and sorrow, not only to his family, but to the whole nation.
