Hello Music lovers,

When you hear the words Folk Music, most tend to think of the enlightening 60s. The hippie movement, Newport, Dylan, Woody Guthrie, Simon and Garfunkel, and other older groups. Where are we today with this genre?

You may have heard of Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes, or Mumford and Sons (heck they even have banjos) But here's a little-known band, that really captures the essence. They're called the Mountain Goats, and this song is called Cotton.

Enjoy!

Sweet folky singing is broken up by a discordant solo in the middle of the song - a very interesting twist, but it goes right back where it starts, so never fret!
