Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson set for abdominal surgery

Hollywood actor Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson announced via Twitter he is scheduled to undergo surgery next week to repair an abdominal tear. "Saw my Dr who had to push my intestines back thru the tear in my abdomen. Kinda romantic," he tweeted Sunday. "Surgery is next week. #BringItOn." E! News said the 40-year-old wrestler-turned actor missed Monday night's Hollywood premiere of his new action movie, "Pain & Gain," co-starring Mark Wahlberg.


Olivia Newton-John postpones Vegas residency

Australian pop star Olivia Newton-John says she has postponed her planned Las Vegas residency because her sister Rona was diagnosed with brain cancer. Olivia Newton-John, 64, is a breast cancer survivor. "I received the very sad news that my beautiful sister, Rona Newton-John, has been diagnosed with brain cancer. In light of this news, I have decided to postpone my forthcoming Las Vegas residency to spend time with her and our family," Newton-John said in a statement to the Las Vegas Sun. "As a cancer 'thriver' myself, as many people are, I am very aware of the importance of love, support and family during this journey she is about to begin. I want to thank everyone in advance for respecting our privacy during this difficult time."

Porsha Stewart first heard about her divorce on Twitter

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Porsha Stewart says she learned on Twitter her husband, NFL player Kordell Stewart, had filed for divorce. "I was totally blindsided," Stewart said on TV's "Watch What Happens Live" Sunday. "But when I found out about the divorce, it was absolutely a surprise." Porsha Stewart recalled waking up from a nap to see she had missed calls from her sister. "She said, 'Have you heard?' And I'm like, 'Heard what?' So I went to Twitter and the first thing I see is, 'Kordell divorcing Porsha,'" she said. "And I'm like, 'This is just a crazy joke...' I found out from Twitter." Kordell Stewart filed for divorce March 22 after less than two years of marriage, UsMagazine.com said.


Ailing Glen Campbell cancels rest of farewell concert tour

Glen Campbell has canceled the remaining dates on his North American concert tour because his Alzheimer's disease is worsening, Rolling Stone reported. However, Campbell, 77, is expected to release a new album called "See You There" in July. He was diagnosed in December 2010 with Alzheimer's disease and had been performing a series of live farewell performances. In addition to his music, Campbell is also famous for co-starring opposite John Wayne and Kim Darby in the original 1969 "True Grit" film.
