Hello Everyone...

Happy New Years everyone, and welcome to 2012. I have eclectic tastes in many things, and of course music is one of them. I have a soft spot for bluegrass after hearing a few of the White Stripes' more 'homestyle' tunes. You may recall Jack White starring in and doing the soundtrack for the 2003 film, Cold Mountain where he busts out his most Appalachian yodels. That country/bluegrass style followed him into the Raconteurs, where he teamed up with mandolin legend Ricky Skaggs and Ashley Monroe.

I believe this was shot around the time when White was recovering from a neck injury, so his energy is understandably lower than usual. But the bluegrass-infused version of their song Old Enough sounds sweet enough with Monroe's vocals. Enjoy it and the new year, from everyone at GopherCentral and PulseTV!
