Greetings...
Years ago, ( 30+ years), men and women began having a surgical
procedure called a face-lift. This procedure was more times than
not, sone on Hollywood actors and actresses to keep them looking
young to continue getting premium roles and to make their adoring
public think they never aged...
A face-lift never altered their looks and instead, gave them a fresh
"rested" look with smooth skin and less or no wrinkles...
Fast forward to today and one has to wonder...
What the heck are people doing to their faces???
The face-lift has been replaced by a multitude of procedures that are
too numerous to list, but have taken away people's natural looks and
replaced them with grotesque features that seem to turn all of them into
carbon copy clones of the Joker in Batman...
The lips all look the same, the cheekbones all look the same, they eyes
all look the same, and so on and so on...
I can't mention the above surgeries without adding the race to be the
first to complete the alphabet with a bra size to match...
I guess the two questions that keep popping into my head when I see
someone who obviously has had a body and face built by Maaco would be...
A...Do you not own a mirror?
B...Is there no one in your life that can be honest with you and tell you
that you look horrendous?
And I'll go with one more...
C...What is wrong with the plastic surgeon's eyesight???
If this is what society considers perfection, then I'm damn glad I'm
imperfect!
I don't think there's anything wrong with getting Botox here and there
if Botulism is your thing, or increasing your boobs a size or two if
self-esteem is an issue, but triple D'S???
Self-esteem be damned, psychiatric help is needed more than surgery...
From what I've read on the subject, plastic surgery can become addictive
and a quest for a person's perception of perfection that will never be
achieved. I would ask Michael Jackson about that one if he were still alive.
I also understand people who feel the need to get multitudes of tattoos
and or piercings feel the same way about wanting or needing to do it over
and over again...
I have no problem with any of it including the plastic surgery, but all
three things I just mentioned have a common link. At what point does, or
should the person altering themselves so much take a step back and really
LOOK at what they are doing and how they look and WILL look as they age?
Kenny Rogers had his face done a few years back and is unrecognizeable.
Joan RIvers has had so many procedures that I wonder if she uses makeup
or Spackle every morning! Michael Jackson had so much plastic surgery
that he not only changed color, but lost the tip of his nose and had
to wear a fake tip over his partially missing nose. Oh yeah, where
would one sign up for that succesion of surgeries with that as the end
result. In the end, his talent was overshadowed by his grotesque looks...
I once thought about having a little botox in my frown line and then
changed my mind...
I might not be able to give my kids or Flyboy "the look"...
