'Flipped' DVD

Directed by Rob Reiner, this period-piece coming-of-age story
involves a romance between junior high students. Although
adapted from Wendelin Van Draanen's young-adult novel, the
movie is likely to appeal to many Baby Boomers. In 1963
American suburbia, Juli (Madeline Carroll) and Bryce (Callan
McAuliffe) are eighth graders trying to figure out how they
feel about each other. Juli's parents are played by Penelope
Ann Miller and Aidan Quinn, while Bryce's are portrayed by
Rebecca De Mornay and Anthony Edwards. Bryce's grandfather
is played by John Mahoney.
