Hello Animal lovers,

I love searching for weird animals. So when I stumbled upon the pangolin, I scratched my head, since its name sounds like some kind of instrument! It's actually one of the coolest looking animals - a scaly anteater. There are a few related species, but these guys are the only type of mammal that grow scales. They look like really cool dragon scales, and help them curl up into a ball to hide from predators.

They have one of the longest tongues you'll ever see, and eat mostly ants. The weirdest part about them in my opinion is how they awkwardly walk like a little tyrannosaurus rex - with short, clawed arms that don't quite allow for walking on all fours. I had never heard of the animal before, so I hope I can share something new with my readers too!
