James 1:2-6
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various
trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces
patience.
But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be
perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks
wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and
without reproach, and it will be given to him.
But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who
doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the
wind.
Greetings Bible Enthusiast!
How many of us would say that they are always patient?
Probably very few. Often our impatience causes us to do
and say things that we later regret.
The Bible tells us that trials will come and that we should
welcome them, even with joy. That may be hard to accept
until we realize the reason why: that the testing of our
faith through trials produces patience; that wonderful,
often elusive quality that we all desire.
We can ask God, in faith, for the wisdom to deal with
whatever trials come our way.
