'Suicide Squad' fans sign petition to shut down Rotten Tomatoes amid negative reviews
Fans of Warner Bros. and DC Comics latest cinematic effort Suicide Squad, is fighting back against critics with a change.org petition.

Created by Abdullah Coldwater of Alexandria, Egypt, the petition which has so far reached its goal and has obtained over 17,000 signatures, asks for popular review collection site Rotten Tomatoes to be shut down.

"We need this site to be shut down because It's Critics always give The DC Extended Universe movies unjust Bad Reviews, Like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad and that Affects people's opinion even if it's a really great movies," read's the petitions description alongside a photo of the Rotten Tomatoes logo with a red "X" over it.

In an update entitled "Final Announcement," posted Wednesday, Coldwater wrote "In fact i started this petition to gather dc fans to express our anger just for fun. I didn't mean it to be taken that serious. After thinking. I found this petition pointless. And the only thing that is does is spreading a speech..."

As of this writing, with 128 reviews tallied so far, Suicide Squad sits at a low 31% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and counting. That is still faring better than March's Batman v Superman which ended its Tomatometer run at 27%.

Batman v Superman was still able to dominate the box office with an impressive $170 million opening weekend. Suicide Squad is expected to break August opening records as well.

Directed by David Ayer and starring Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto, Suicide Squad opens in theaters Aug. 5.

"But then it changed when I started dating a girl. I was like, 'Actually, to hide this provides the implication that I'm not down with it or I'm ashamed of it, so I had to alter how I approached being in public. It opened my life up and I'm so much happier.'"

Which 'Game of Thrones' star has gone platinum blonde?

The English actress, Sophie Turner, who plays redhead Sansa Stark on the HBO series, debuted her new look on Instagram, writing, "I did a thing..."

Turner's post sent fans into a frenzy, with many comparing her tresses to Daenerys Targaryen's (Emilia Clarke) silvery hair. Some even speculated Sansa will be revealed as a Targaryen in Season 7.

"Maybe Jon isn't the real Targaryen. Maybe it's Sansa after all ... Makes you think huh?" one fan wrote. Jon Snow (Kit Harington) was revealed to be the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark in Season 6.

Turner had told Marie Claire in 2014 that she's a natural blonde who dyes her hair red to play Sansa. She discussed the role last week on The Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter podcast, saying she's "always" felt an affinity for the character.

"She's always been a part of me, so I can kind of slip into me and then slip into Sansa again," the actress shared.

Turner is also known for playing the fiery-haired Jean Grey in X-Men: Apocalypse. Game of Thrones will return for an abbreviated seventh season in summer 2017 and is confirmed to end after Season 8.
