Here's the Scoop...

I don't know why this is news, but...

Scott Eastwood was told to skip Taylor Swift's 'Wildest Dreams' video.

The 30-year-old actor, who stars as Swift's love interest in the 2015 music video, revealed in an interview with People that his agents advised him not to appear in the project.

"None of my agents wanted me to do it, actually," the star admitted. "They said, 'Oh, we don't want you to do that! Why would you be Taylor Swift's boy toy?' And I said, 'Why the hell not?'"

The video, which takes place in 1950s Africa, follows the romance between two co-stars (Eastwood and Swift). Eastwood had nothing but praise for Swift when he previewed the project in August 2015.

"What an amazing time working with @taylorswift," he wrote on Instagram. "Not only is she a rockstar. But someone I am proud to call a friend."

"She is a great person and those are hard to find in your life," he added. "When you do... Hold tight. #WildestDreamsMusicVideo."

Eastwood, the son of actor and director Clint Eastwood, last starred in Suicide Squad, which opened in theaters Friday. He is slated for Fast 8 with Vin Diesel and Live by Night with Ben Affleck.

Man, did 'Suicide Squad' make a ton of cash! That's a great segue into today's first story!

Be Well,
Steve

"Psychologically, I must have been at a place where I just wanted to stop. I won't get into what happened, but it wasn't what people think. And it wasn't like the crime of the century! But it allowed me time that I really needed."

Which original 'Dirty Dancing' star turned down a role in upcoming remake?

ABC eyeing 'Star Wars' primetime series
ABC and Lucasfilm are reportedly in talks to develop a Star Wars primetime series, ABC entertainment president Channing Dungey revealed on Thursday.

Parent company Disney has been rebooting the Star Wars franchise with the release of last year's box office smash Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and additional Star Wars films are in the works. Disney is also dedicating space at Disneyland for a Star Wars-themed attraction.

Dungey was mum about whether the primetime project would be live-action, though there is speculation that a cartoon is less likely given the success of Disney XD's Star Wars Rebels.

"I think it would be wonderful if we could find a way to extend that brand into our programming," Dungey said.

Which original 'Dirty Dancing' star turned down a role in upcoming remake?

Jennifer Grey won't appear in ABC's Dirty Dancing remake.

The 56-year-old actress, who played Baby in the original 1987 movie, told The Hollywood Reporter that she was approached about the project but turned down a role.

"I was flattered because I always want to be asked because it's nice to be included," Grey said. "But for me, it would be sacrosanct for me to do it because it didn't feel appropriate to me."

"It feels like if you're going to do your own thing, do your own thing," she explained. "I wouldn't say [what role was offered] but I will tell you, it wasn't Baby!"

Dirty Dancing, which co-starred Patrick Swayze as Johnny Castle, was a box office hit upon its release. The movie follows the romance between the sheltered Baby and working-class Johnny, and includes the pair's famous lift scene during the final dance number.

"I only did it on the day I shot it. Never rehearsed it, never done it since," Grey told the Guardian in October. "I don't know how all these people who re-enact it have the guts to throw themselves into the arms of anyone other than Patrick Swayze. It's insane!"

Scream Queens star Abigail Breslin and dancer Colt Prattes will play Baby and Johnny in the remake, which is set to premiere in 2016. Grey presently portrays Judy on the Amazon series Red Oaks.
