Here's the Scoop...

I still haven't picked up a Blu-Ray copy of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens". I liked the movie quite a bit and I'm eager to revisit it for a third time. Plus, I'm very curious about the special features which gives fans a closer look into the production of this major cinematic event.

I love special features on DVDs and Blu-Rays. Sometimes they're better than the movie. I can't wait to watch it all and to share it with my boys when they are mature enough to watch it. Star Wars brings families together.

Be Well,
Steve

Mark Hamill celebrates 'Star Wars' co-star Daisy Ridley's birthday
Mark Hamill wished Star Wars: The Force Awakens co-star Daisy Ridley a happy birthday Sunday.

The 64-year-old actor marked the occasion by sharing a photo of himself and Ridley outside the Star Wars: Episode VIII set in Buckinghamshire, England. Hamill and Ridley play Luke Skywalker and Rey in the Star Wars movies.

"A long time ago (last week I think) in a galaxy far, far way (@PinewoodStudios) THIS happened! Happy Birthday Daisy!" the star captioned the picture.

The photo shows Hamill and Ridley channel Luke and Yoda, with Hamill pointing ahead while on Ridley's back. The pose is reminiscent of the moment in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back when Luke carries Yoda during his Jedi training.

Star Wars: Episode VIII began principal photography in February and will open in theaters Dec. 15, 2017. Ridley discussed the film with MTV News at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards, which took place Saturday and aired the next day.

"I think the progression Rey's making and the people she's meeting and the relationships she's making now are kind of more important than where she comes from," the actress said of her character's unknown parentage.

"I think it's darker [than Episode VII - The Force Awakens]," she added. "I don't know if I am a Jedi. I don't think I am. We have this debate about whether Leia [Carrie Fisher] is because she uses her Force powers [but] isn't like, 'Oh, I'm going on an adventure.'"

Fans immediately speculated Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) is Rey's mom after Star Wars spinoff Rogue One: A Star Wars Story released a first trailer last week. Ridley dismissed the rumors, saying, "Just because she's white and got brown hair ... doesn't mean she's my mom."

Ridley appeared on the series Silent Witness and Mr. Selfridge before starring in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. She is in talks to star in a reboot of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

LOOSE LIPS:
"That's where it's unfair: the judgment that is put on women for how we look. If you're looking bad, you have to cover up. If you're looking good, you've done something or made a deal with the devil."
--Olivia Munn, addressing the double standard that plagues women, to Fashion magazine

Which 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' star says her own mother inspired her performance in 'The Jungle Book'?

Axl Rose fractures foot, but Guns N' Roses shows still set to go on
Axl Rose has fractured his left foot and undergone surgery to repair the injury shortly after his band Guns N' Roses announced it is reuniting for a concert tour.

This will be the first time in more than two decades that the group's original lineup of Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan will take the stage together for a series of shows. Their "Not in This Lifetime" tour is to begin in Detroit June 23.

The lead singer did not specify how he hurt himself, but a Facebook post on the band's official account quoted him as saying, "This is what can happen when you do something you haven't done in nearly over 23 years, "Internal Fixation.""

The social-media message also contained a short video of a foot and ankle specialist in Santa Monica explaining in detail Rose's condition and how she is treating it.

"Right now, he is in a cast and we're limiting how much weight he puts on it, so he's having his set, I think, designed for the stage, so he can perform for everyone still," she noted. "He'll be limiting the weight on the front part of the foot for about four weeks and then we will let him gradually progress from there. So, we can get him back for his stage-ready action."

Which 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' star says her own mother inspired her performance in 'The Jungle Book'?

Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o says she looked to her real-life mother when creating her nurturing and protective wolf character Raksha for the re-imagining of Disney's classic cartoon movie The Jungle Book.

"I think my mother had a lot to do with what inspired me," Nyong'o acknowledged at a recent California press conference.

"She's my example and she's a very good mother and, yeah, I asked myself a lot of questions about what it would be like to lose one of my own. Although I am not a mother myself, I do love children. When I was 12, I preferred to stay indoors and babysit my cousins rather than go outside and play, so there is that part of me that is very much alive. I gravitate towards children. My mother definitely was someone who inspired me."

Also lending their voices to the live-action film's photorealistic, CGI animals are Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, Christopher Walken and Giancarlo Esposito. The Jungle Book is set for release Friday.
