Here's the Scoop....
It is official: Ellen DeGeneres is the proud owner of a new home. The former home of a very A-list actor.
Transactions were completed Friday to finalize the purchase of Brad Pitt's Malibu manse for $12 million.
The property overlooks the Pacific Ocean, has private beach access, consists of two separate houses, a pool, a tennis court and lush gardens.
Ellen's interest in the estate was first buzzed about around Thanksgiving, a month after she and wife Portia De Rossi put their Architectural Digest-featured home on the market for $49 million.
The couple will be downsizing a bit: From about 15,000 square feet of interior space to 4,000. Sounds cozy!

Britney Spears to wed Jason Trawick...
Britney Spears is planning her third wedding!
Longtime boyfriend and former agent Jason Trawick has proposed to the singer, while the couple was celebrating his 40th birthday.
A source reveals, "This is something they've both wanted for a long time."
Jason and Britney are planning to celebrate the big news with family and friends at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
And Britney appears to have confirmed the news in a tweet, writing: "OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for. Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!"
The couple met in 2006 when Jason began representing Britney while she was still married to Kevin Federline. They became an item in 2009.
She has been married twice before - to Jason Alexander and Federline. Her marriage to Alexander lasted just 55 hours and she divorced Federline in 2007.
Nicole Scherzinger held at gunpoint in Mexico...
Singer Nicole Scherzinger was held at gunpoint as she traveled through the mountains of Mexico on the way to her latest video shoot.
"The X Factor" judge and former Pussycat Doll was on her way to film scenes for her single "Try With Me" in the Xilitla rainforest in October when her car was ambushed by armed gangsters.
Choreographer Brian Friedman, who was traveling with Nicole, insists they were shaken by the terrifying ordeal but unharmed.
Friedman reveals, "We were held at gunpoint. People next to our cars... there were M16s and Berettas! Nicole cursed me with this trip. It was the craziest adventure ever!"
It is believed the gunmen were members of a local gang.
Nicole has yet to comment on the incident.

Osbourne Breaks Her Left Hand...
Tweeting updates to her loyal following of fans just got a little more challenging for Kelly Osbourne.
The former Dancing with the Stars contestant fractured her left hand in three places after she fell out of bed at a hotel.
"I must be the most accident prone/stupid person it the world," Kelly, who was recovering from a concussion last month, Tweeted. "The worst part is I permanently look like I'm giving everyone the thumbs up because of the way its casted!"
The left-handed star says her mom, Sharon Osbourne, has had to step in to brush her hair and cut her food for her. "I feel like a baby again," she Tweeted. "Of course my mum is loving it!"
Although Kelly describes the pain as "bloody excruciating," her Twitter following won't be left in the dark, and she reassured a fan, "I do have 2 hands you know!"
Judy Greer Ties the Knot...
Judy Greer has lots to celebrate this holiday season!
Judy, 36, and her Real Time with Bill Maher co-executive producer beau, Dean Johnsen, tied the knot on Saturday night.
The former Mad Love star and Johnsen said, "I do" at the Los Angeles Athletic Club in front of approximately 200 friends, including Bill Maher, Rashida Jones, and her former CBS costars Jason Biggs, Sarah Chalke and Tyler Labine.
"The couple looked amazing! The ceremony was filled with laughter amongst friends." a source reveals. "Both the bride and groom seemed to have an amazing time celebrating the evening."
After the newlyweds walked down the aisle, guests headed to the venue's club where they boogied the night away in the newly renovated ballroom.
"Rashida, Sarah and Jason danced to 'Bust a Move,'" the source says. "Everyone looked like they were having a blast."

Scarlett stars in new movie "We Bought a Zoo," and although she is a fan of animals in general, she can't stand winged creatures.
She reveals, "I'm only scared of birds. Something about wings and beaks and the flapping. I�m terrified of them. That still hasn't gone away. If they'd asked me to put a bird on my shoulder I would've done it, but it would've been hard.
"My uncle is terrified of birds, as well, so it runs in the family."
