Here's the Scoop...

I actually find the time change of gaining an extra hour harder than losing one. I'm so tired early and wake up an hour earlier than I need to.

I'm hoping it will be just a few more days until I get adjusted to it. This going to bed at 9:00 and getting up at 2:00am I don't like very much!

On the brighter side... the office is oh so quiet at 4:00am!

Be Well,
Anisa

Cosby To Be Deposed In Defamation Case...
Bill Cosby and his former lawyer will testify under oath in a defamation case filed by former model Janice Dickinson, a court ruled Monday.

Dickinson is perhaps the most high-profile name on the list of dozens of women who have publicly accused Cosby of sexual misconduct. She alleges that Cosby, now 78, defamed her when the comedian called her a liar over allegations that he drugged and raped her around 1982.

No date has been set for the depositions, but Cosby and his former lawyer Martin D. Singer will testify by Nov. 25, judge Debre K. Weintraub of Los Angeles County Superior Court said.

"Ms. Dickinson is proud to stand with the more than 50 women who have accused Mr. Cosby of attempted or actual sexual assault," said Dickinson's attorney, Lisa Bloom.

A Cosby attorney said they will appeal.

"The Court's unfortunate but not surprising ruling permitting a limited deposition of Mr. Cosby regarding the statements of his former attorney Martin Singer was legally incorrect and deprives Mr. Cosby of a right well-settled under California law to have his motion to strike heard before unnecessary, expensive and burdensome discovery. It is disturbing that Mr. Cosby is not receiving the same protections as every other defense litigant in California," said Monique Pressley.

Cosby faces two other defamation suits in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. He has vehemently denied any wrongdoing and has not been charged with a crime.

Casey Kasem's Kids Granted $2 Million Life Insurance Policy...
The children of late broadcaster Casey Kasem have won a legal battle against his widow over the star's $2 million life insurance policy following his death.

The beloved TV and radio personality's adult children from his first marriage started fighting with his second wife, Jean, after Kasem's healthbegan to decline as he struggled with Parkinson's disease.

His widow and her stepchildren started squabbling over who should receive one of two $2 million pay-outs shortly after his death in June, 2014 at the age of 82.

According to TMZ.com, Jean called on MetLife bosses to put a hold on giving Kasem's three kids the pay-out, claiming they potentially contributed to their father's death. The Kasem siblings countered with allegations suggesting their stepmother caused the DJ's death by neglecting his care during his final few months - allegations which first sparked the family feud and therefore should not benefit from his policy.

As a response, representatives from MetLife filed suit in a U.S. court, asking a judge to decide who should receive the insurance money, and a judge has now ruled in favor of the Kasem kids, stating the trustees are the sole and rightful beneficiaries of the hefty life insurance sum.

It is unclear whether the other $2 million for Jean, which was never in dispute, has been paid to her.

The actress who has banned all social media inside her home?

It's Kate Winslet... Kate has banned the use of social media inside her home primarily because she believes it isn't good for young women's self esteem.

The Oscar-winning actress opened up about the ban in an interview with the Sunday Times mentioning how social media can negatively impact young women.

"It has a huge impact on young women's self esteem, because all they ever do is design themselves for people to like them," Winslet said. "And what comes along with that? Eating disorders. And that makes my blood boil. And is the reason we don't have any social media in our house."

The 40-year-old star who is the mother to daughter Mia, 15, and sons Joe 11, and 22-month-old Bear discussed how she and husband Ned Rocknroll have tried to cut down on their family's usage of phone and tablets by encouraging their kids to play outside and partake more in family activities.

"Let your kids climb trees. Take the device out of their hand. Play Monopoly! You go to a cafe and grown-ups are at one end of the table and children the other, on devices, not looking up."

Winslet made it clear, though, that she isn't interested in becoming a spokesperson for parenting in the digital age and that she's not "another celebrity on a soapbox thinking they've got the answers," but she does realize how technology can be disruptive for families.

"They go into a world and parents let them. ... It takes every member of a family to be a member, and there are too many interruptions these days -- and devices are a huge interruption."
