Here's the Scoop....
Old rivalries and dramas from past seasons of The Bachelor and
The Bachelorette will get new life this year as ABC is creating
a spin-off show in which former contestants will live and
compete together in a Big Brother-style house.
The show, titled Bachelor Pad, will bring back 20 memorable
contestants from the previous 13 Bachelor and five Bachelorette
seasons. It?s expected to premiere in late summer.
?All these people have been friends, been enemies, they date
each other and bring all this great backstory to the show,?
says executive producer Martin Hilton. ?It seemed like there
was an opportunity to combine that world with a new competitive
reality show.?

Simon Cowell leaving American Idol...
Simon Cowell has announced he's quitting talent show "American
Idol" when the new season ends in May.
Speculation about Simon's future on the show has been rife
for months, with his brother Tony revealing a statement
would be made in the early part of 2010 a month ago.
He said, "A press statement is being prepared which will
confirm what everybody expected: Simon will leave Idol at
the end of 2010 to concentrate on bringing the American
version of (U.K. talent show) X Factor to U.S. TV in 2011."
And now Simon has confirmed the news of his departure on the
eve of the ninth series.
In his statement, Simon reveals he plans to launch his "X
Factor" on U.S. TV in 2011.
The news of the departure comes just months after judge Paula
Abdul quit the show over an alleged pay dispute in August. She
has been replaced by chat show host Ellen DeGeneres.

Casey Johnson Laid to Rest in New Jersey...
Casey Johnson, who died this month at age 30, was laid to
rest Tuesday morning at her family's plot in New Brunswick,
N.J.
The small, private gathering included Nicky Hilton, who is
the godmother to Johnson's young daughter Ava.
Casey, who was recently engaged to reality star Tila Tequila,
was found dead in her Los Angeles home on Jan. 4. She suffered
from diabetes, but no cause of death has yet been determined.
Family spokesman Jesse Derris last week thanked well-wishers
for their support. "Your thoughts and prayers are deeply
appreciated," he said.
Donations in Casey's memory can be made to the Casey Johnson
Memorial at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

It's a Boy for Big & Rich's John Rich...
John Rich, one half of the country duo Big & Rich, and his wife
Joan welcomed their first child, a son.
Cash Rich made his debut early Sunday morning at a Nashville
hospital. John, 36, and Joan, 40, wed in 2008 after quietly
dating for more than five years.
The couple announced the pregnancy in October.

Mistress Will Sue Shaquille O'Neal...
Shaquille O?Neil?s ex-mistress, Vanessa Lopez and her attorney,
Gloria Allred, will hold a news conference Tuesday morning in
Los Angeles, to announce the filing of a lawsuit by Lopez
against the NBA legend.
Vanessa, according to a press release from Allred, "was
Shaquille?s girlfriend until recently," and "will explain
her feelings about the harassment which she has been forced
to endure."
Gloria said in the press release she will explain what the
lawsuit alleges at the press conference, which is slated to
begin at 11:30 a.m.
Shaq has been linked to at least three mistresses: Lopez,
Atlanta hip hop artist Alexis Miller and Swedish model
Dominica Westling.
We were front and center when Vanessa landed at LAX airport
Monday, after a five-hour flight from Orlando, Florida. Clad
in high heels and a fur trimmed parka, Vanessa answered "no
comment" to all of our Shaq-related questions; Sources said
Vanessa is under strict instructions from Gloria to not speak
to the media.
Shaq's wife, Shaunie, has filed for legal separation with
intent to divorce; their next hearing is scheduled for March.

Mark Wahlberg is a dad - again!
Wahlberg and his wife, model Rhea Durham, welcomed baby
number four, a girl named Margaret Grace, into the world
at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles on Monday night.
Mark and Rhea, who wed in August 2009, have three children
already, daughter Ella Rae, 6, and sons, Michael,3, and
Brendan Joseph, 16 months.
Mark, who was the youngest of nine children himself has
made no secret of his desire to have a large family. But
are there any more kids on the horizon? That decision is
being left up to mom Rhea. "However many mom wants to
have," Mark says.

It's Usher...
According to Atlanta's FOX 5 News, on Monday Atlanta police said
the bounty was stolen from Usher's car on December 14. The alleged
theft reportedly happened across the street from the Lenox Mall
in the Atlanta area.
According to the police report, Usher's GMC Yukon was broken into
and over a million dollars worth of jewelry, $50,000 in furs and
clothing and about $20,000 in cash were snatched.
A witness reportedly saw a man pull up to the SUV and break into
the car.
The alleged incident is currently under investigation.
