Here's the Scoop....

Miley Cyrus resents young stars who become overnight sensations
by simply posting a performance video on YouTube.com, because
she believes it should be harder to land a record deal.

Following the success of former Internet sensation Justin
Bieber, music moguls have started scouring websites to find
the next big thing, and Miley feels new artists shouldn't
have it so easy.

She comments, "It should be harder to be an artist. You
shouldn't just be able to put a song on YouTube and go out on
tour."

Miley vented her thoughts after the radio hosts asked her for
an opinion of new Internet sensation Rebecca Black, who has
scored a massive hit with her self-penned novelty tune
"Friday" after posting a video of her singing the song online.

Now, let's get to the rest of the Nooz...

Charlie Sheen Recovers from Detroit Fiasco...

Depending on who you asked, Charlie Sheen either "brought his
A-game" or "sucked" during the second stop of his My Violent
Torpedo of Truth/Defeat Is Not an Option live-show tour in
Chicago on Sunday.

In either case, the crowd was a lot more welcoming than the
disastrous Detroit show the night before. This time, only a
handful of people walked out of the 3,600-seat Chicago Theatre,
which was about three-quarters full, and few if any shouts of
"refund!" could be heard.

And, as Charlie himself Tweeted: "TOOK ONE NIGHT BUT HE IS
#winning. Yet again."

Though by no means an overwhelming success, the performance
was quite a turnaround from the kickoff show in the Motor
City, which critics widely panned and the crowd met with boos,
shouts of "refund" and mass walk-outs.

Chicago's version of Sheen's show differed from the free-for-
all in Detroit in that it assumed a talk-show format, with
Charlie and a friend of his onstage. The two sat in chairs,
with their image beamed behind them onto a larger screen.
There was no opening act, video clips or music as in the
inaugural show, which Charlie later termed "an experiment."

In fact, perhaps in an effort to head off another disaster,
Charlie implored the crowd "not to become [expletive] Detroit
tonight. Let's show Detroit how it's [expletive] done," and
acknowledged the prior show was "a horror."

In response, some in the Chicago group started a "Detroit
sucks" chant.

Katy Perry excited about space trip...

Katy Perry is "really excited" about the prospect of heading
into space with her husband Russell Brand as she counts down
the days until the couple's shuttle trip.

Katy bought her husband a seat on one of Richard Branson's
Virgin Galactic space tourism flights for his 35th birthday
last year and she is planning to go with him.

The couple has yet to book a date for the experience because
of their busy schedules, but Katy is already dreaming about
the once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

She comments, "I'm so into extraterrestrial stuff... It's very
difficult for me to look up into the sky in the middle of the
night and not think that our planet is one of... a bajillion
(sic). It's really, really small. And Russell and I are
interested in anything extraterrestrial. I mean, we're going
to space! We're really excited.

"There's a group of people that work with Richard Branson, and
he does the Virgin flights, and for Russell's birthday, I got
him a flight to space. Because I just thought, 'What else can
I give this man? He's had every experience in the world, but
not a trip to space!' So he's also always searching for what
is beyond this world, and we both kind of have this same
vision and are always looking for more. It will be really
exciting. It's like a half-a-day trip. I think there's a lot
of people who are signed up for this experience."

Wentz & Simpson all loved up for coffee shop trip...

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz appear to be working on their
marriage again, if new photos of the couple are any
indication.

The pair was snapped laughing and holding hands as they left
a Starbucks coffee shop in Los Angeles with their son Bronx
on Thursday morning.

The breakfast meeting comes after Pete reportedly met with
Ashlee's sister Jessica to talk about his split from his wife
of three years.

Ashlee filed for divorce on February 9.

The couple was spotted together on Valentine's Day and again
in March, but sources said that Pete and Ashlee were keeping
their relationship strictly platonic.

The new family photos, suggest they're happy and in love
again.

And in a tweet on Thursday, Ashlee wrote, "Had a perfect 2
days with my best friend," suggesting she's having fun with
her rocker husband.

Katie Couric Leaving CBS...

Katie Couric is saying goodnight to the CBS Evening News.

The former co-host of NBC's Today show took over CBS's news
anchor's chair from Dan Rather five years ago. Her contract
is set to expire June 4.

Rather than continue with the news, Katie, 54, plans to launch
a syndicated talk show in 2012 for an as-yet-unknown network.

Katie has been the highest-paid anchor on network TV, with a
contract worth $15 million a year. She has generally been
critically praised, particularly for her revealing 2008
interview of Sarah Palin.

Still, she failed to grow a large audience, with her newscast
trailing NBC's (with Brian Williams) and ABC's (with Diane
Sawyer) in the ratings.

Michael Vartan Is Married...

Michael Vartan is off the market thanks to a serendipitous
trip to the grocery store.

The former Alias star married Lauren Skaar, whom he met two
years ago at a Whole Foods in L.A., at The Resort at Pelican
Hill in Newport Beach, Calif., on Saturday.

"My family was thrilled," Michael reveals. "They love Lauren
and could not be happier. Now all my mother talks about is
grandchildren."

Adds Lauren: "Our families both took an immediate liking to
ourpartners and knew probably before we did that this was
serious and going somewhere."

Michael, who currently stars in Hawthorne, popped the question
in New York in March of last year. But according to Lauren,
the two didn't start dating immediately.

"We met at a grocery store in L.A.," she says. "Michael
approached me after some well calculated "stalking," as I like
to call it. We didn't date right away. I wouldn't give him my
number but did take his e-mail address, and we didn't see each
other until a few months after our first meeting. That was
almost two years ago."

At Saturday's ceremony, Michael's Alias costar Victor Garber
was a groomsman, and Michael, 42, wore a two button Giorgio
Armani tuxedo with a classic white pique tuxedo shirt and
black bow tie.

*-*-* GUESS WHO *-*-*-

This popstar has taken up a saucy new hobby to keep her amused
on tour - naked painting...

It's Kesha...

The "TiK ToK" hitmaker is currently on the road in the U.S.
and the monotony of touring has inspired her to seek new ways
of staving off boredom.

And she's come up with a bizarre activity to keep her mind
occupied.

She strips off and rolls around on a paint-splattered canvas.

Kesha reveals, "I have recently taken up painting as a way of
killing time on tour. I got a big canvas, threw some paints
down and then stripped off and rolled around on it. It's very
liberating. And very, very messy."
