If you're on the East Coast then I'm hoping you are safe. It certainly looks like it will be one nasty storm.

Here in the Chicago area we got lucky with just a dusting of snow.

Here's to all of us wishing for spring!

Adam Levine To Perform 'Lost Stars' At The Oscars...
Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and actor Adam Levine is to perform the Oscar-nominated song "Lost Stars" at the 87th Academy Awards, show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced Monday.

The song is from Levine's celebrated independent film Begin Again, which co-stars Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo and James Corden. The track is up for Best Original Song.

"Adam Levine is an exceptional and dynamic artist. We're thrilled to have him make his Oscars stage debut this year," Zadan and Meron said in a joint statement.

Neil Patrick Harris is to host the Oscars ceremony Feb. 22 on ABC.

Oscar Winner Dianne Wiest Struggling To Pay Rent...
Dianne Wiest has won two Oscars and currently stars in an off-Broadway play, but the fame and glamour of Hollywood are not enough for the actress to pay rent.

"I have to move out of my apartment soon," Wiest, 66, said in a recent interview with The New York Times for a profile about her and Tonya Pinkins, who co-stars with Wiest in the forthcoming play Rasheeda Speaking.

While talking about her struggles to make ends meet, Wiest discussed falling victim to typecasting and to being unable to break out of the "nice mom" roles in films even with her two Oscars -- she won the golden statue for 1986's Hannah and Her Sisters and 1994's Bullets Over Broadway.

"That's all that ever came, except in theater," said the actress, who seems to be convinced that better roles in movies might still come along.

"I think that if it's meant to happen, it will happen," she said. "Which is I guess a real sign of stupidity."

Wiest and Pinkins will be directed by Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon in the forthcoming comedy drama about post-racial America, which will premiere in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre on Jan. 27 and run through March 22.

Wiest -- who is best known for her roles in Independence Day, Edward Scissorhands and The Birdcage -- will return to the silver screen in Five Nights in Maine and Sisters, both of which will come out later this year.

Sofia Vergara Shows Off Engagement Ring, Fiance Joe Manganiello at SAG Awards...
Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello hit the red carpet Sunday at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, where the 42-year-old actress showed off her brand new engagement ring.

Vergara and Manganiello started dating last summer, shortly after the Modern Family star ended her engagement to businessman Nick Loeb.

Manganiello, best known for his roles in True Blood and Magic Mike, reportedly proposed on Christmas Day.

Vergara was seen with a diamond on her ring finger over the holidays, but Sunday night's SAG Awards marked the couple's first official outing since their engagement.

Vergara wore a red gown by Donna Karan Atelier and flashed her engagement ring to E!'s 'mani cam."

"Very happy, very excited. I cannot believe it," she said of her engagement.

Shaquille O'Neal Lands Comedy Pilot With TruTV...
Shaquille O'Neal will star in new pilot Shaq, Inc., for TruTV.

The series is a workplace comedy loosely based on the 42-year-old former NBA star's business empire. O'Neal will executive produce the half-hour scripted show with Mandalay Sports Media creator Mike Tollin, with Jeremy Garelick as writer and John Fortenberry as director.

"There is no denying Shaq's multifaceted appeal," TruTV president Chris Linn said in a statement. "Thus, we couldn't be happier to be collaborating with him, as well as Mike Tollin and Mandalay Sports Media, as we continue to push into new formats."

The comedy will follow O'Neal and his employees as they manage his products and endorsements and promote his new and eccentric business ideas. Deadline reports the show will be in the tone of HBO series Veep, and see the star's workers compete for recognition and approval.

??? Guess Who ???

Who is the A+ star is set to produce and star in a new 'Batkid' movie?

It's Julia Roberts... She will be producing and starring in a movie based on a terminally ill San Francisco child who wanted to be Batman for a day.

A documentary about the 5-year-old leukemia patient called Batkid Begins is currently featured at the Slamdance Film Festival. The new film with Roberts will be an adaptation of that documentary, with the documentary director as an executive producer. It will be distributed by Red Om Films.

Miles Scott made headlines in 2013 when he asked the Make A Wish Foundation if he could be Batman for a day in San Francisco. They granted his wish, and he got to go around San Francisco areas transformed to look like Gotham City. He even got to ride in a Batmobile. Scott is still alive and in remission.
