Here's the Scoop....
All the talk lately is about Lance Armstrong and his interview with Oprah Winfrey. Have you been following the story? Do you care that he is going to admit that
he used performance-enhancing drugs? Armstrong has already apologized to the Livestrong Foundation, a cancer charity he founded. I wonder if it will be enough for him to gain back his supporters.

Now on to the rest of the Nooz...

Honey Boo Boo's uncle is HIV-positive

Lee "Uncle Poodle" Thompson from the reality show "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" told the Atlanta magazine Fenuxe he was diagnosed as HIV-positive last year. "I was adamant about getting my HIV status checked on a regular basis," the openly gay TV personality said. "On March 16, 2012, I tested negative. Then, in May of 2012, my test results came back positive. I knew it had been my boyfriend who infected me. I later learned he had been HIV-positive and was not taking medication and had not bothered to tell me about it." Thompson said he pressed charges against his former boyfriend and the man is now serving a five-year prison sentence for knowingly exposing him to the disease, UsMagazine.com reported. "I would have been cool with his HIV status if he had been honest," Thompson told Fenuxe. "I don't have an issue with the disease. I would have known how to protect myself." He went on to say everyone, regardless of sexual orientation, should practice safe sex and those who don't "are damn fools." "They are playing Russian roulette; they are playing with their lives and that of their sexual partners," he said. Set in Georgia, "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" is a spinoff of TLC's child beauty pageant show "Toddlers and Tiaras." It follows the outrageous antics of one contestant and her family.

'Die Hard' director gets year in prison

"Die Hard" director John McTiernan will serve a one-year federal prison sentence for making false statements to the FBI, The Hollywood Reporter said. "The Hunt for Red October" filmmaker was sentenced in late 2010 to one year in prison and ordered to pay a fine of $100,000 after pleading guilty to making false statements to federal investigators working on an illegal wiretapping case involving private detective Anthony Pellicano. McTiernan has since unsuccessfully filed for an appeal, attempted to withdraw his plea and tried to have evidence against him tossed out. The Hollywood Reporter said Tuesday McTiernan is expected to begin serving his sentence within a few weeks or months. He will be placed on probation for three years after his release. McTiernan pleaded guilty after confronted with a recording showing he hired Pellicano to wiretap "Rollerball" producer Charles Roven.

Victor Garber confirms he is gay

Canadian actor Victor Garber has confirmed he is gay and shares a home in New York with his longtime partner, artist and model Rainer Andreesen. TVGuide.com reported Tuesday Garber was candid about his relationship when asked about his sexuality by blogger Greg Hernandez. "I don't really talk about it, but everybody knows," Garber said, adding Andreesen is "going to be out here with me for the SAG Awards" this month in Los Angeles where his new show "Deception" is taped. TVGuide.com said Garber previously confirmed his relationship to the Canadian magazine Forever Young Information last April, but the media didn't pick up on it. It's Elton John

British pop music icon Elton John and his husband, David,
say they have become dads again after their second son was born via surrogate in Los Angeles. John, 65, said on his website Tuesday baby Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John was born Jan. 11. The Johns are also parents to 2-year-old Zachary. "Both of us have longed to have children, but the reality that we now have two sons is almost unbelievable. The birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way. It is difficult to fully express how we are feeling at this time; we are just overwhelmed with happiness and excitement," the couple said in a statement to Hello! magazine. Elton John married David Furnish, 50, in 2005 after 12 years of dating.
