Here's the Scoop....
Hugh Hefner has dismissed Internet rumors he's dead, declaring: "I'm very much alive and kicking!"
The Playboy mogul was stunned to learn on Monday that speculation on the web suggested he'd passed away, and he immediately took to his Twitter page to clear up the reports.
In a series of posts, Hugh writes, "The rumors (sic) of my death are, as Mark Twain observed in a similar situation, greatly exaggerated. I'm very much alive & kicking.
"I'm lying in bed next to (girlfriend) Shera with a big smile on my face, reading tweets about my unexpected demise."
Hugh also revealed to fans that he was spending his day watching a program detailing his marriage drama last month, which saw fiancee Crystal Harris end their relationship just days before their planned wedding.
He adds, "The guys & I watched an early edit of 'Hef's Runaway Bride' tonight. The fans are going to love it."

Ted Danson Joining CSI as Its Newest Investigator...
Ted Danson has a new role: crime fighter.
The actor, 63, who earned an Emmy nomination as a villain on FX's Damages, is back with the good guys, joining the cast of CBS's CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as the show's chief investigator.
He replaces Laurence Fishburne, who played Dr. Raymond Langston for two years. Laurence had replaced the show's original star, William Petersen.
"You can create a new character on the page, but until the perfect actor comes along and breathes life into it, it's just words," executive producer Carol Mendelsohn says. "We're very excited Ted Danson came along."
"From the moment we all started talking about the role, it was clear he couldn't be more perfect," adds executive producer Don McGill. "Intelligence, wit, warmth, depth of character and emotion, he brings it all. And now he'll have to bring latex gloves, too."
Ted, perhaps best known for playing Sam Malone on the '80s sitcom Cheers, will remain a series regular on the HBO series Bored to Death.

Ellen DeGeneres Rescues a Sick Kitten...
She's among the busiest people on TV, but Ellen DeGeneres always makes time for animals. Last week, the comedian rescued a sickly, dehydrated kitten she found at an L.A. furniture store.
Ellen, who has two dogs and three cats, spotted the 4-week-old kitten sitting on an ottoman. The cat was riddled with fleas, dehydrated and hungry.
The proprietor of the store informed her that the kitten came from an abandoned litter of three and that the other two cats had recently died. Ellen offered to take the cat and pay for its medical care, then drove the cat to the vet.
After a vet administered fluids and prescribed antibiotics, Ellen took the kitten home and nursed it back to health. She decided to name the cat Ridiculous, because she's so ridiculously cute!
Ellen asked an animal sanctuary, The Gentle Barn, if it could help Ridiculous find a home and shared a photo of the now healthy feline on Twitter on Saturday.
