Here's the Scoop...

The second trailer for the forthcoming 'Ghostbusters' reboot was released this week. I'm still on the fence about this one. The second trailer was much better than the first, but it still left much to be desired from this fan of the '80s franchise.

Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon "answer the call" to save New York from a spiritual invasion in the second trailer for the Sony Pictures upcoming Ghostbusters reboot.

The clip, released Wednesday on the film's official Twitter page, features the new team of paranormal fighters using their advanced technology and intellect to hunt down a machine that is amplifying ghost activity in New York City.

The crew's bumbling assistant, played by Chris Hemsworth, is seen being possessed by a ghost in the trailer, as he begins to seemingly plot against the Ghostbusters.

The colorful cast of supernatural foes, Wiig, McCarthy, Jones and McKinnon, will have to face off against a towering new nemesis that resembles the ghost seen in the franchise's iconic logo, as he walks through skyscrapers near the end of the footage.

Directed by Paul Feig, Ghostbusters arrives in theaters July 15.

Previous Ghostbusters stars Bill Murray, Dan Akyroyd, Erine Hudson and Sigourney Weaver are also set to make an appearance in the reboot.

Are you gonna be busting this summer?

Be Well,
Steve

Robin Wright demanded equal pay on 'House of Cards'
Robin Wright said she demanded the same pay as co-star Kevin Spacey for starring on Netflix's hit political drama, House of Cards.

"I was like, 'I want to be paid the same as Kevin,'" the actress said Tuesday speaking at the Rockefeller Foundation according to the Huffington Post.

"It was the perfect paradigm. There are very few films or TV shows where the male, the patriarch, and the matriarch are equal. And they are in House of Cards," she continued.

"I was looking at the statistics and Claire Underwood's character was more popular than [Frank's] for a period of time. So I capitalized on it. I was like, 'You better pay me or I'm going to go public. And they did."

Wright portrays first lady Claire Underwood on the series, the equally conniving and cutthroat counterpart to Spacey's President Frank Underwood. The 50-year-old's comments mirror the events of the recently released Season 4 in which Claire, due to being more popular then Frank, decides to run alongside her husband as the vice presidential nominee.

The series was renewed for a fifth season in January as showrunner Beau Willimon departed.

Outside of House of Cards, Wright is in final negotiations to join Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford in the upcoming sequel to Ridley Scott's fan-favorite sci-fi classic, Blade Runner.

Wright will also be seen as an Amazonian warrior in Warner Bros. upcoming superhero epic Wonder Woman, as General Antiope alongside Gal Gadot.

Don Cheadle's 'House of Lies' series finale shot in Havana
The series finale for House of Lies was shot in Cuba and will air on June 13, Showtime announced Tuesday.

Starring Don Cheadle, Kristen Bell, Ben Schwartz, Josh Lawson, Donis Leonard Jr. and Glynn Turman, the comedy is wrapping up after five seasons.

Filmed entirely on location and directed by series creator and executive producer Matthew Carnahan, the final episode, named "No Es Fácil," marks the first time an American scripted series was shot on the island since the restoration of diplomatic relations.

"House of Lies is a comedy that has frequently been ahead of the curve," Showtime Networks President and Chief Executive Officer Nevins said in a statement. "Over the course of its five seasons, it has tackled such hot-button topics as gender identity, wealth inequality, white privilege, police brutality, interracial relationships, and code-switching with honesty and a biting sense of humor. Matthew Carnahan and Don Cheadle have been dream partners and impeccable leaders. The core cast of Don, Kristen, Ben and Josh are one of the best comedy teams on television. They have brought the series to an incredibly satisfying conclusion with this historic final episode shot in Cuba."

"Creating and running House of Lies has been a true dream gig, a creative apotheosis," added Carnahan. "Working with the remarkable team that Jessika Borsiczcky, David Walpert and I were allowed to put together, along with the incredible cast and crew, coming to work every day was a joy. Getting to work with heroes like Don Cheadle, Kristen Bell and Glynn Turman, breaking out amazing performers like Dawn Olivieri and the shockingly funny Josh Lawson; seeing Ben Schwartz, already so well-known as a comedic actor doing a deep-dive into really complex work; watching great actors like Matt Damon be willing to skewer versions of themselves; and then going out on the high note that is shooting in Cuba -- these are all the kinds of reasons I got into this business in the first place."

Paramedic on trial for stealing James Gandolfini's watch
An Italian paramedic is on trial for allegedly stealing the wrist watch of James Gandolfini's as the actor was dying in 2013, according to various reports.

Claudio Bevilacqua, 43, did not appear in the courtroom Monday and did not enter a plea. The judge later postponed the start of the trial until November.

Bevilacqua allegedly stole Gandolfini's $3,000 Rolex Submariner wristwatch, but it is not known when the watch actually disappeared. The late actor might have been wearing the watch when he collapsed or it might have gone missing from his hotel room later.

Bevilacqua was one of the paramedics trying to revive Gandolfini after the actor suffered a massive heart attack while on vacation with his wife and son in Rome in June 2013.

Despite being rushed to a local hospital, Gandolfini died shortly after at age 51.

Development on Tetris The Movie is falling into place as producers move forward with what they call a "sci-fi thriller."

According to Deadline, producer Larry Kasanoff (True Lies) and Chinese producer Bruno Wu have secured $80 million in funding for Tetris through their joint venture, Threshold Global Studios.

Kasanoff noted that the film is "not at all what you think," but will instead "be a cool suprise." Tetris The Movie is expected to be a part of new trilogy that will begin filming in 2017 in China with a Chinese cast.

Developed alongside The Tetris Company for over a year, Kasanoff and Wu are confident in their vision despite the classic video game puzzler having no narrative.

"Today there are so many great sources on which to build a movie blockbuster and video gaming is certainly an amazing category with its huge international following, so to have this legacy brand, Tetris, is a great, first project for us with Larry, who knows his way around this landscape," Wu said in a statement.

Tetris, which involves players stacking and organizing a series of falling blocks in order to form a straight line, was an arcade hit in the 1980s and on Nintendo's Gameboy in 1989. More recent mobile versions of the game have been downloaded over 500 million times.
